Lovely stay at Sign of the Angel this weekend. Bedroom and bathroom were full of character, tastefully decorated and well equipped with beautiful smelling toiletries, tea and coffee supplies and yummy homemade flapjack. Guests have use of a cosy living room where we were able to enjoy a celebratory bottle of bubbly we had waiting in our room when we checked in. Dinner in the restaurant was fantastic, great service and incredibly tasty food (especially the pork belly!). It was also very reasonably priced - would highly recommend! We had breakfast before we left, which was included in the room rate. Fruit, yoghurt, cereal, juice, croissants and jams were provided on a buffet table whilst a good selection of hot items were available from a menu. Again great service and great food :) Thank you to all for making our weekend so fantastic!

My wife and I along with friends ate and stayed at this lovely quaint pub! The staff was amazing, the rooms have been complained about, not sure why... our room was quite lovely, and our friends room was just as nice as ours. The food was great, and the only disappointment was that they ran out of the beef Wellington before we could try it. Would definitely recommend this for your stay in the lovely little village of Lacock.

We visited yesterday for lunch. It was first class service & first class food. We liked it so much that we went back for afternoon tea in the garden underneath the apple trees. The lemon polenta cake & warm scones were fabulous, as were the pots of tea. We had the same waitress for both visits & she was lovely. Would highly recommend.

Amazing place. The whole village feels like stepping back in time. Everything at the Angel was excellent - although my 6' 7" son was a bit challenged by some of the low doorways and beams! The food and service were first class.

We stayed at Sign of the Angel a while back. What a beautiful place to stay. The rooms were lovely and the food delicious. The staff so friendly. You will feel like you have had a week away after a weekend here. I'm not saying it is like this now, but I would definitely go back there.

Awesome place to stay, lots of history around the town and in the pub. The room we stayed in was fantastic, the only downside was the bathroom needs some love and is not ideal for anyone of 6ft but this is more than understandable considering the age of the building! The garden was a fantastic place to sit down, enjoy a meal and a drink or two. The only downside was the wasps of which my partner was not the biggest fan but luckily the kind gentlemen at the place gave her a bug zapper titled "the exterminator" which we all got a good chuckle out of! Also there is a very friendly cat that was more than happy to come and say hello and even hop up on your lap for a pat if you wished. Highly recommend staying here, especially for any Harry Potter fans as there are quite a few filming locations set in and around Lacock, the pub even features in one of the films!

Exquisite Brunch at the Angel. Sign of the Angel, a 15th century old inn is located in a beautiful Cotswold village, named Lacock. Recently, my friend and I visited this magnificent place and I can confirm that both of us had a fantastic and memorable experience. The atmosphere inside was very soothing and relaxing. This wonderful establishment is decorated with soft lighting, accompanied by mellow acoustic tunes. We were stunned by the flickering flames of a wood burning stove whilst enjoying a hot chocolate and also waiting for our food to arrive. I ordered Eggs Royale and my friend had Eggs Benedict. Both dishes were perfectly cooked and tasted celestial. The overall service was impeccable. Thank you to the great team and their professionalism. You have definitely won me and my friend as one of your permanent customers, and I would love to recommend your establishment to all my acquaintances. Once again, thank you for your admirable hospitality. This place is worth visiting for all the food lovers who want to taste different food flavours. What a truly magical location!

The Sign of the Angel is a wonderful restaurant / Hotel in Lacock. Service The service was amazing, the staff were so friendly and welcoming, and made our meal so enjoyable as they were always there to serve us when needed. Food The menu was very well put together and something for everybody. We all ordered something different, I have to say all the food that arrived, was beautifully presented, and hard to pick, as we all had food, envy! Drinks There was a wide range of drinks on the menu for anybody wishing to have an alcoholic drink or something that is non-alcoholic. We had a beautiful bottle of rosé wine that was from a local vineyard, it was lovely to see local businesses working together! Decor The decor of the restaurant and lounges is homely and inviting, suitable for a quick, get together, business meeting, birthday parties, or something a bit more formal. Prices Prices are very reasonable, especially when you take in consideration, the location and the service that we were lucky enough to receive. Lacock This small quaint village is the most beautiful destination to visit, it is somewhere that everybody should go to to see how beautiful are English country villages are, it is also very well located as it is so close to the city of Bath. I would highly recommend The Sign Of The Angel to anyone looking for a great meal with a venue and experience that you will not be disappointed with, I think next time we’ll end up staying in the hotel that is part of the restaurant - and making an even longer trip out of it as we didn’t want to leave.

My family and I had lunch there yesterday and it was one of the most delicious lunches we have ever had. We all had a wonderful meal. Myself and my niece had a board platter which was delicious. My husband had a cream tea, they were the best scones we have ever tasted. My in-laws had a roast beef ciabatta and they both said it was the nicest beef they have tasted in a long time. The service was brilliant, staff were so friendly. We highly recommend visiting for food, and we will definitely be coming back in the future if we get the chance to visit Lacock again.

They had outdoor and indoor seating. The price range was a bit expensive (8-34 pounds)but the food was good. In general I personally believe that the attitude of the staff always makes or breaks your pleasure so this place had an extremely nice waitress who was very kind and professional so it made the experience for us very good. The inside of the restaurant was lovely and old style, music calm and relaxing even my dog felt relaxed in there.

The food was simply amazing. Definitely worth the price. I had the chicken kiev and it was cooked to perfection. The dinning room had real character and the staff were friendly and welcoming. Would recommend if you wanted to splash out and have something unique & delicious in a lovely environment.

We chose this exquisite 15th century Inn to take our relations visiting from Germany for an evening meal. We wanted to show them some of beautiful Lacock and then have dinner somewhere special. The service was attentive and discreet. The atmosphere was calm and relaxing. The food was exceptional. Beautifully presented and cooked to perfection. The price reflects the quality but it is well worth it. This is dining at it’s best.

Had a meal in the restaurant with family. Excellent service and presentation. The pork loin was cooked just right with a delicious sauce. The sorbet also rich, fruity and tasty. Very nice situation in a 15th C building. Just need to watch your head on the beams!

Didnt stay in a room so can't comment. Always love coming here but it needs a little more care and attention as there were some dirty tables and the service for drinks was slow. The food looked good and the staff were friendly.
