We always have a good experience at Hooked! I often call by in the summer to collect numerous meals for the busy farmers we have at home harvesting. I called in again 2 weeks last Saturday and a lovely chap served me. Always tasty and hot!

First visit, ordered in advance as we were passing through. Food was just being boxed up when I arrived so it was piping hot. We had fish ( light crispy batter) & chips and ham, chicken & leek pie. Chips are some of the best we’ve had. Would definitely call in again.

Always ask for your fish to be boxed separately because if it is added to your chips the batter becomes soggy. Maybe now they do this? Chips could be better as they are always white in colour which to me means undercooked.
Amazing food. Service is fast and friendly. The portions are huge and the Haddock was deliciously fresh. Mushy peas and gravy also both top notch. The chips are sort of next level too with a great mix of big chunky Chios and those tasty crispy bits. Very reasonable for the portion sizes too.

5 star service as always. Decided on a last minute chippy tea, greeted by friendly staff on arrival, didn’t have to wait long for takeaway food. The food was still very hot when I got home and tasted amazingly fresh and cooked to perfection! Thanks guys for a lovely tea
