Very old fashioned Pub. Separate rooms for drinking or eating. Coal fires when it is Winter or a Chilly spell! Really cosy. Lovely Staff. Great if you need to stop off on a Bicycle ride to fuel up? Food or Water. Food is quite good!? Reasonable prices. Large Car Park. Nice eating/drinking seating ar
Grate landlord, grate staff, grate beer and awesome food. Friendly atmosphere. Family plus dogs are more than welcome. Lots of lovely countryside walks in close vicinity. We parked in their car park in the morning, had a lovely walk and then enjoyed a Sunday lunch second to none. All in all a grate
Great British Pub, not fine dining. This is a lovely pub, dogs are allowed and there were a load of locals in when we visited today. Friendly and helpful staff. Bangers and mash was good, dark mild ale was good and there were 4 fireplaces burning, with at least one more which is probably lit at week
Proper traditional family pub. Served the roast beef Sunday lunch today which was really good. There can't be many pubs left where a pint of beer costs only £2 ! There are open hearth fires, no juke box or tv's but excellent hospitality, good beer and well worth a visit.
Possibly one of the all time best ever Cheshire Country Pups you will discover anywere in the UK. Also one of the cheapest bear you will find anywhere. As it's a brilliant local to many locals you often can chat to some unique characters. It's like stepping back in time. Sadly this style of pub is d
It has improved a great deal. The beer is as good as it has always been, and at a reasonable price of £2 per pint. Now they are serving lunches too. The Fish & Chips is my favourite!
Excellent Pub. Another great night at the only proper pub left in Mobberley. Bitter is still only £2 a pint. Great clean pub. Easy parking. All the fires lit and a great traditional atmosphere. Good food as well.
Totally traditional pub with roaring coal fires 🔥 in most if not all rooms, zero noise from TV or jukebox and an excellent Sunday roast beef lunch, what's not to like ! @ £2 a pint it's unbeatable 🤫 but it does have carpets instead of sawdust and spittoons 😀
Pretty pub in a quiet setting. Sam Smith's tied house, so you'll only get beverages from their range. But if you like them, they're well kept and enjoyable whether drunk inside or out. Mind your head on the door if you're on the tall side though!
What's not to like. Fantastic pint of Sammys (the best ale, end of!), lovely open fires on a cold evening, the staff, landlord n lady (Jay & Bev) are most hospitable as we're the locals. Best of all dogs are welcome and Ted our 4 year old boxer loves going there as he always gets spoilt and makes
