Lovely Pub / Restaurant... proper pub food cooked perfectly and piping hot! The beer garden is a cracking sun trap with plenty for the kids. If you like planes there's plenty overhead too. Poppy the pub dog is lovely (love a pub dog)!

Lovely pub with a good atmosphere. Food outstanding as always. Well equipped garden for families, so the kids can play and the dads can plane spot as its on the flight path for Manchester Airport.

Just returned from a lovely family celebration for a Golden Wedding Anniversary. Lovely outside seating area, table all set out with balloons I'd dropped off earlier. Kitchen was opened a little earlier than usual to accommodate our booking which is much appreciated. Good food, drinks and great service. I particularly enjoyed my proper old school prawn cocktail! The children had a great time playing in the extensive and safe beer garden. The landlord was also kind enough to take my father in law the short distance to the train station as he had become very tired after the meal.

A friendly, spacious pub with a lovely play area for kids. Great place for plane-spotting, too. Nice burgers and homemade pies.

Fantastic little pub. We ate here on a help out to eat out night. Decent pub food we would have been happy to pay full price for, very friendly bar staff and overall decently priced. Having not been in a pub for a while it was exactly what we were looking for. Would come again.

When we arrived & had ordered our drinks, we went & found a table along with the menu. After ordering our meals at the bar, we wait for a while, when our meals arrived, all looking tasteful, to which we were not disappointed as they also tasted very good. We ordered our desserts, again which didn't disappoint us. The pub was quite, the staff were friendly & helpful. As some people have said it's a bit off the beaten track, but worth a visit.
