Booked easily online, table was ready, food was on time and very good. Had three courses, can’t complain at all. Drinks were reasonably priced to boot!
The ambiance of the place was very nice, definitely going back. We traveled from Romiley, not too far but worth the drive for our anniversary meal. Thanks to all staff 👍
The pub has a lovely welcoming feel and the food was excellent. The Sunday roast platter was delicious with plenty of meat veg and gravy at a really reasonable price we'll definitely be back.
Booked the Mad Hatters tea party as a treat for the family to start the summer holidays off. Wasn't really sure what to expect but it was amazing. The team had done a fabulous job of dressing the pub it looked incredible. The afternoon tea itself was delicious - probably too much food we certainly couldn't finish it all! The staff all dressed up (and stayed in character) which was a lovely touch and the selfie corner was a big hit with my 8 and 10 year old girls. We would definitely book this again it was great value for money and definitely recommended. Well done!
Amazing place with food to match, A very highly recommended place to visit and dine.
We went for Sunday lunch I was really impress with the quality and presentation of food. The Polish head chef is amazing the place was was packet with people but we dint wait long. Staff very friendly and polite. It is a definitely a YES from me !!!

Lovely relaxed atmosphere and friendly staff more than happy to accommodate you... we enjoyed steak and mushroom pie with puff pastry top... and seasonal Veda I ate it all it was very tasty and plenty of it .... defo will be returning very soon.., tracey B 👍🏾
Lovely evening out - perfect ambience for a family meal. Hard to judge waiting time for our food, seeing as ours was a table for 13(!), but the food itself was nice, and the service was excellent, with great consideration from waitresses and chef alike towards those with specific dietary requirements. Prices perfectly reasonable. Highly recommended.
Really enjoyed my mum's birthday celebration with family. Excellent service and friendly staff, highly recommend. Food is amazing!!
Amazing food and great service :) Our table was ready early and drinks and food served promptly. Sunday roast platter was superb - can recommend :)
Visited this evening for my Mama's Birthday meal.
We LOVED it.
Such lovely staff (Matt & Valentin) and delicious food.
We will be returning
Thank you ever so much.

Definitely one of my favourite places to eat and relax ... the food is fantastic and the staff are lovely
Came last night - very enjoyable meal - thoroughly recommended the butternut squash mushroom tart and melba mallow mess. Excellent service too! Would recommend and will visit again soon. Thank you for very nice evening.
Drove up yesterday from Blackpool to meet family for lunch (our Christmas meet up). 1st time here. The staff were lovely. The decor of the place was gorgeous. The food was great. The atmosphere was lovely and friendly and very welcoming. Thank you for a nice visit.
Excellent location, food was lovely although on the pricey side for pub food. "Nibbles" e.g. olives, bread & balsamic were £5 each, starters were £8-£10 each and mains were around £18-£25 each. Really good quality though and a small play area for the kids. Will go again

Visited here for first time 22nd August. Went for a light lunch with a friend, first time visit for me and I was very happy with the whole experience.
Parking was plentiful and the dining room was set out in a way that you don’t feel packed in like sardines.
Had the fish finger on a bun which was delicious, juicy fish, light crispy batter cooked to perfection. Ordered chunky chips rather than fries and was delighted they were home cooked proper chips, not frozen rubbish.
The gentleman who served us couldn’t have been more welcoming and attentive, thoroughly enjoyed the experience and will definitely be back again.
A bit quiet on an early Saturday lunchtime, but service was great, food excellent, and biscuits for the dog.
The food includes more adventurous dishes (e.g. sticky beef korean salad) than standard pub fare and is beautifully cooked.
Visited as a party of five for lunch and had a really good time. The salt and pepper chicken wings were delicious, vegan burger good, chips could be better. Chicken and halloumi skewer dish needs finesse; it’s just a lot of things on a plate at the moment and would be better served gyros style.
Staff very helpful but not all up to speed on allergens in dishes.
Would return!
We recently had our 'day 2' wedding celebrations at The Frozen Mop. We used the Hideout which accommodated all of our hugover guests perfectly and had a fantastic sandwich buffet. Heather was on hand prior to the event via email and on the day which was great - thank you! They were able to accommodate some tricky dietary requests and also open an hour early for us. It was a really lovely day and thank you so much for being so flexible! The space itself is super and we would definitely recommend it for larger parties.
Great food, lovely atmosphere.
Absolutely lovely Sunday roast. Literally top three I've ever had. Starters great. Really well done out restaurant interior. Good wines and beers. Just very poor, disorganised service. Aside from one bloke who was over from the Ship at Styal, no one seemed to have a clue.
We had come down for my bother-in-law cricket match (Sat19/8). We decided very late to go for dinner with 7 of us I was thinking it would hard to get a table. We got one at 6 o’clock and my 2 year old could play in the little playground they have before dinner.
The service was very good can’t have a bad word to say about them a very polite young lady. The food was phenomenal my wife said I couldn’t have a burger again this week 😂. So I decided to have the veggie main a bhaji this really was fantastic the flavours, textures the look Just everything I enjoyed. Yes I maybe a chef so I never write reviews but this was so good,
I just have to wonder why O’why it was so deadly quiet only 2 tables in plus a couple outside. This place really is a hidden gem.
First visit to this really friendly and comfortable bar/restaurant. A treat from my daughter for Fathers day. I knew from the moment I sat down I would want to visit again. My daughter had been before & she asked when was the last time I had a traditional Sunday lunch.....wow ! I'm glad I followed her lead ...They even had my favourite pint Timothy Taylors Landlord.....the food was cooked to perfection and the starters were imaginative too. The Frozen mop is in an idyllic setting and its a definite favourite for me as well as my daughter. The Yorkshire pudding is the biggest I've ever encountered 😊
Went for sunday lunch with friends and we were all v impressed. Food was excellent, we had turkey, beef and nut roasts, with extra cauliflour cheese. They were all large portions, really good quality and tasty food, great value for money, friendly and helpful staff, and lovely beer garden in beautiful countryside, we will definitely return!
For a Monday night it was of course pretty quiet but the food and staff are very good. All cooked and presented with first class service and with no complaints from us at all. Thank you for a lovely evening.
Top quality Sunday lunch at reasonable price.
This was the second time we have visited this lovely pub/restaurant and both times we have very much enjoyed our meals. For starters - A duo of pate with rustic bread, tomato and balsamic soup with rustic bread and garlic flat bread. All of which were enjoyed in our group. For main meals - Fish and chips with mushy peas, sirloin steak with chips, onion rings and thyme grilled tomato and lamb ribs with asparagus. I had the steak cooked rare, was melt in the mouth and full of flavour. 2 members of our group finished off with chocolate ice cream which was also very much enjoyed. The service was excellent and staff very friendly. There is also a beer garden which I'm sure would be very pleasant to sit out in when the weather is warmer.
A very cosy place to grab a bite to eat, in such a peaceful area.
The food was delicious and the staff were very friendly and welcoming.
If you sit next to one of the fires, it’s even better!
What's not to love about this great gastro pub. Awesome staff great food and lovely lovely beer. They didn't even mind me and my mate walking around as mammals
