Found this shop yesterday by recommendation from Midas Jewellers
The cheese selection is Fantastic wine & beer as well to compliment the cheese

We had such a fantastic evening with you on Friday at your cheese and wine tasting event, it was delicious - the two slate boards, full of different cheeses to taste, paired with complimentary wines throughout the evening made for a perfect night. Thanks Sarah and team.
Fantastic quality food, and very good coffee. Had lunch , then went back later for coffee and carrot cake. Very friendly and helpful staff. Bought some lovely little cheese biscuits and some chutney. Would definitely be visiting here again.

We liked this place so much we went back there this morning to choose more cheeses and gourmet crackers. Had a cappuccino too! Love the whole ambience and attention to detail. We will be back soon

Great little gem tucked away off the main street. We had afternoon cheese which was excellent. Four really nice cheeses with crackers, bread and butter, olives, blackcurrant jelly, bresolo, grapes and a glass of wine each. Friendly staff. Nice atmosphere. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Will very probably be back to try the raclette!
An Afternoon Tea with a twist! Cheese and wine what an excellent choice. Helena was our front of house and after enquiring on our preferences produced 4 excellent cheese's. The only disappointment was they had no red wine as the delivery had been delayed. However the white wine was exceptional and complimented the food. Overall a great experience thank you to the owner Vincent and again to Helena. This place is now on our radar and will definitely return.

Got a wedding cake made of cheese from The Cheese Yard and it was an excellent choice. We got to go down to the shop, try and select cheese for the cake. On the day it looked absolutely fantastic, tasted even better and lasted for days with enough to go round everyone. Will 100% be back to buy some cheese from them again.
Went in for the first time today. The beautiful smell of cheese hits you as you walk through the door. Had a drink and the cheese board. The cheeses selected by the staff were great. Also the first goats cheese that my wife enjoyed. I had to purchase a couple of them to go! Really enjoyed the cheese, the drinks and the service. Another great independent shop that I will happily return to.
Absolutely the best cheese toastie I've had! They weren't joking when they called it the ultimate cheese toastie. Their Welsh rarebit is amazing too. We asked about the cheese and we were told it was because they use unpasteurised milk. Definitely makes a difference to the taste. All cheese fanatics need to head here. We'll be going back for sure! Cute decor too because you can see where they keep their cheese which adds to the place. Recommended!!
We approached the Cheese Yard (after a simple Google search) for a cheese tower for our wedding day and we couldn't have had a better experience. We were invited into the shop for a tasting and I have to say we were both pleasantly surprised at how many cheeses we got to taste and how much time and effort Vincent took to helping us find the right cheeses. He talked us through everything and advised us on what went well with what and how much we might need based on our number of guests. We also talked through accompaniments such as chutneys and crackers. We left the tasting feeling quite full! Vincent was helpful and responsive on email and the process of payment and delivery on the day was unremarkable, in that it was seamless. Of course the cheeses themselves were delicious! Highly recommend the Cheese Yard.
Bought a cheese and wine evening for my dad for Father’s Day.
Never been to the cheese yard before but follow them on social media.
Went for for the cheese and wine evening and met Vincent the owner who was lovely and very friendly.
The shop was really nice with all the displays of wine and cheese.
We sat down and there were different cheeses in front of us which were paired with different wines. Vincent told us about the different cheeses and wines. He was very knowledgeable and we learnt a lot about the different cheeses and wine.
Really enjoyed the evening and will definitely come back in the day and buy some cheese and some wine.
