A very old but Gold pub. So comfortable and good beer aswell. The stuff is friendly and the toilets were clean. I really enjoyed it. Thank you
Very sensitively refurbished. This pub is over 400 years old and has history in its walls. Staff very friendly. Food menu not extensive but good value and excellent quality. I would recommend.
Really lovely inside. I sat next to a log burner on a rainy night, and it was just so atmospheric. Service was brilliant and the food was really lovely. Highly recommended, and I'll definitely be going back. If the M6 is bad, just park up here and grab some food, well worth it.
Clean gorgeously decorated warm and welcoming. Log fires. Staff very attentive/friendly. Good choice menu. Full meals and snacks. We both had cheese onion pie veg chips. Very large portion and the pie was delicious. I believe they do a steak pie which is, just as good. Homemade. Loads veg/chips. Wil
Busy but very attentive staff. Beautiful food, so many choices on the menu. Huge portions so make sure you're hungry! Lovely historic pub.
Very nice pub with excellent food. Only thing which slightly let it down was the greeting when we first arrived. The lady was a little cold towards us however a different lady then served us who was pleasant. Food was excellent 👌
Today visited The Smoker. Excellent chef who delivered well cooked, hot and very tasty meals. This also applied to our deserts, all of which were well presented. The staff we dealt with were lovely. A lovely old pub packed with character, very large car park and WC. Will definitely be returning.
Excellent, from the moment we walked in. We were greeted with a friendly welcome & shown to our table, the fire was lit & a very cosy atmosphere, the food was lovely & everyone was very friendly. It was my birthday & our visit helped to make it a memorable day, thank you 😊
A cut above the rest. A great pub with lots of character and really good food. Please do go here if your in Cheshire
For a 20 minute ride out of Manchester to the Cheshire countryside, we found a 2 hour walk and this amazing pub for food afterwards. Steeped in history, thatched roof, immaculately clean with such polite and friendly staff this is certainly a Robinsons you have to visit. It dates back to the 1500's
I've been to the Smoker several times. It's a lovely, friendly pub in a convenient location. It has had a makeover since my last visit. Nice beer and good pub food.
Very old period pub. Light snacks and main meals are excellent. Good choice and excellent quality. Just watch your head on the way in, very low roof beams! 🙂
December 2022. Still very attractive place with nice atmosphere. Good range of items on the menu and for Sunday there are 3 roasts to choose from. New to me is Heineken 00 on draft. Still worth a visit. Pics show Pakkora starter and roast Turkey dinner with large Yorkshire pudding. Great fo
It's a very, very long time since I've been here. I remember it being a beautiful, well-kept, traditional old pub/restaurant, full of character and interesting little nooks and crannies everywhere. The exterior hasn't altered much over the years, but the interior has changed, virtually beyond recog
Absolutely amazing food. I ordered pitta and hummus starter and for my main, chicken in mushroom sauce. It was fresh, flavoursome, layered with after tastes and really filling. Even the kids burger had a bang to it! Also a lovely outdoor area to sit and relax. While you can watch your children run a
Nice feeling to the place and good food with good portion and good price. Was great to see chips were not mandatory like so many meals out. Staff friendly and obviously get along making it very pleasant.
Even though we hadn't booked, but just turned up, they quickly accomodated us and found us a table for four. The service was quick and the food was hot and very well presented and very tasty. Well Done all at The Smoker.
Easy to park. Great attention to detail by the staff. Beautiful interior and fabulous food. I will return. Well worth a stop even for a coffee.
The Smoker looks great after the recent renovation, but still retains its quaint, welcoming old coach House feel. The menu was superb. We each had something from the specials board, mine was chicken with potato cakes, topped with a mustard sauce. The food was excellent value, well presented and was
