Had a Great time Catching Up with Old School friends until the Power went off and Unfortunately the Pub had to shut its Doors.

10 meters from the canal (where we arrived by boat). This place has a really friendly atmosphere. I will by calling in again.

I recently got married and we had our reception after in the function room. It was nicely set up and made sure we had everything we needed. The staff where amazing and went above and beyond. Highly recommend thank.you guys for making our night special x

For a few drinks by the river it is nice. There is a great big flyover that looms over the pub and river, its not the pubs fault its there but its worth knowing about as it can block the sky abit. Me and 2 friends visited yesterday ( Tuesday) had a lovely lunch, we all opted for burger and chips. It came with two beef burgers in a toasted burger bun, fresh salad, homemade coleslaw, pickles and homemade chips. Nothing to complain about here.

The service was good. The food was great and reasonably price. The home made chips were fab. I will definitely be a regular as I live close by. Nice to stop off for a pint when walking along the canal.
Much improved...lovely friendly staff & nice interior. They now sell wine!! 😁 Bonus!! View of canal/river on one side but only down side is road view....my hubby liked "car watching" though!! Defo go back as patio is a sun trap & they're starting to do food!! Yey!!
Experienced all aspects of the Golden lion pub /Hotel rooms are great value for contractors easy accessible to the motorway found the regulars and staff friendly looking forward to the food menu starting up shortly great little beer garden that overlooks the canal would visit again and recommend
Such a friendly and welcoming atmosphere from the moment you walk in, We sat in the beer garden, enjoying the views of the river and ordered dinner, it was delicious, fresh and filling. Danny and Dale will be missed and I can't see it being as warm and welcoming now so probably won't be going back.
