Brilliant. Ruchee's food is excellent, the staff are friendly and a bonus is you can take your own drink in which for they provide a fridge to keep it chilled. The prices are excellent value.
What a nice restaurant, came here passing through between jobs after reading the reviews and we loved it. The food was so tasty and so much of it we couldn't finish it all. Shame we didn't know it was a BYOB as we never had any alcohol with us but enjoyed our Pepsi's anyway. All the staff were professional and chatty and even had a nice chat with one before we left. I definitely recommend it and I will be back !
I told the clerk that I had half an hour to catch the train. The clerk not only let me dine in, but also helped me ask the kitchen to serve my meal asap. Very friendly and the food is delicious too!
First time here and was not disappointed. Food was excellent. Staff very obliging and friendly also very helpful with suggestions. We will most definitely be returning soon

Ordered from here for the first time. We had takeaway so can't rate the atmosphere but when we collected, the restaurant was very bright and cheery and very clean.
The staff were very friendly and smart and the price was very reasonable.
The food was absolutely excellent. We had pathia which a lot of takeaways seem to struggle with but this was perfect. The garlic chapati was gorgeous too.
We've been looking for a good Indian in the area as we haven't lived here long and this is it. We will be going to try the Wednesday night meal deal.

Lived in Knottingley for 13 years now, and only visited for the first time yesterday. Can't believe I've not been before, food was delicious, reasonably priced and the service was second to none. Would highly recommend the king prawn achari.
We will certainly be going again very soon!

Always top quality food and excellent service. I recommend the Lamb Hyderabadi (great flavour and not hot), chicken tikka masala or butter chicken (both mild, creamy, delicious), and the chicken tikka pathia, with extra green chilli’s. Hot from the fresh chilli, but not stupid hot. Taste explosion!
The chicken tikka and mushroom grill is also great, and the mixed grill or tandoori chicken on bone is fantastic.
We picked up a takeaway for 2 on Saturday night with a short waiting time, 30 mins after ordering..
The staff were efficient and friendly. All the food was excellent and good size portions at a reasonable price.
Will be back when next in the area.
Went for a family birthday party, the staff were very friendly and welcoming. The food was amazing, stayed until closing time handshakes all round great night.
Had my birthday meal with .my family last night and I have to say it was the best Indian meal I've had ,all my family said the same . The staff are so polite and efficient, I will be going again
This is the place to go if you want a decent curry. The food is exceptional and consistently so, always being very fresh and flavourful. The service is the best, very friendly, helpful and professional. There is a great variety of food which can be tailored to meet individual requirements by a talented chef. This is a take your own alcohol place which is also very useful. It is also cash only but there is a cash machine a couple of doors down. I highly recommend the Ruchee for small intimate couples and also larger parties. They are also very good with children.

First visit for me last night. Definitely won't be the last. It was such a lovely meal. Pickle tray + starters + mains for us all. Omg we ate so much food. We took in our own alcohol, but the food was the focus of all our attention. The waiters were brilliant (my apologies once again for breaking a glass at the table) 🤫 Restaurant was so busy too

2nd takeaway we have ordered now from our most local curry house. 1st delivery was 110% of our expectations. 2nd delivery we can only give 90% as no rice was delivered (however without this, we’d give 110% again). Best local curry we’ve had ever; well on par with Aagrah!!!
