Great food and friendly service. Really good value for money. The chicken tikka flatbread was one of the best meals I have had on years and the goats cheese and marinated olive salad was also great.
First proper camping with my 4 year old daughter and she loved it. There's play area and short walk to lake/reservoir. Dinner in the restaurant was amazing 🤤
We had a really good time here. Food was very tasty with generous portions. Very helpful when accommodating food allergies. Quiet restaurant area, so easy to have conversation. Staff really attentive and friendly.
Food was hot, fresh and tasty! There was a wait, but the restaurant was full and they were still willing to fit us in as a takeaway order as we were camping on site. Due to delays, manageress offered us a free drink, but we politely declined as they were kind enough to accomodate us and it was 100%
We really enjoyed our visit to nockerdown . Newly reopened and we were lucky to be one of the first to enjoy their beautiful food . Very friendly and welcoming staff. I had the beef and ale pie which was delicious. My wife had the chicken pie and we both cleaned off our plates 😀The nockerdown pint
Stayed at knockerdown, for 3 nights in tent, camp site bit rough and ready but very good prices, pub grub good, good selection of real ales,
Great country pub,.with a lovely sun trap beer garden. The staff were all very polite, warm, friendly and very welcoming. The Sunday roast was absolutely amazing especially the thickness of the beef and fresh size of chicken with loads of gravy and crisp vegetables. It's a place I'd highly recommend
Such a great place to stop off! We called here en route to CBeebies Land and enjoyed food and a warm welcome from the staff. Lovely ales on offer, play park for the kids and just lovely scenery. A great place to eat, drink and wake up.
Had lunch at the knockerdown today. The service was excellent even though the pub was very busy. Staff were extremely friendly and worked very efficiently. The food was really good but there was no specials today. A very pleasant interior and dining room. All in all a great experience.
Another great meal this evening, a second visit this week, if we'd found you earlier this week it would of been most evenings while we were here on holiday, sad we're going home tomorrow...excellent food and service and the young lady on the bar (sorry don't know her name)was a great welcoming host.
Food was much better than I expected based on trip advisor reviews. It came out quickly and the quality was decent. The breakfast was particularly good, but for people camping it comes a bit late. The campsite is a bit basic, but for a weekend you can manage. The toilet blocs are not French style
Stayed overnight in a campervan. Food was lovely and not pricey. The campsite was free as it is winter. Very muddy in places but I parked on the hardstanding with no issues. Toilets and showers on site for free. Definitely return
Great value for money. Lovely play area for the kids. We didn't eat in the pub but it looked good. The campsite toilets and showers are ready for a renovation.
We stopped by last weekend whilst in the area and we were told that the pub is on the verge of re-opening .... The gardens, hedges and car park were being tidied up, new plants evident, the old Marstons Pub sign had just been removed, and the beer had been delivered....... Looking forward to it!
