We came yesterday for cake and ended up having lunch too as it looked so amazing! My chicken and cranberry sandwich was so tasty, and the posh fish finger cob also looked so good... The cakes were phenomenonal, I had the raspberry and white chocolate and it was lush! Really great service, friendly staff and generous portion sizes :)

This is such a lovely place, the food and staff are fabulous. We have been several times now and my family all love the Haybarn. Hot, cold, sweet and savoury food is always plentiful and delicious, we always look for an excuse to visit now. Today was a huge ploughman’s lunch for Tom and elderflower and lemon cake for me, which was a perfect slice of summer.

Me and my little family paid a visit here on Saturday afternoon. From other reviews we expected a wait if it was busy which it was however we weren’t waiting very long and the staff were lovely and so accommodating. The food was beautiful, nothing was too much trouble and it is a really lovely little place. 100% worth the wait and we will be going again.

I’ve been here a couple of times now. Once for lunch, followed by cake & once for breakfast....followed by cake! It’s amazing. Wonderful food, lovely village setting & super friendly staff. Can’t wait to go again.

Superb home cooked food and cake heaven! If you are too full to indulge in the gorgeous cakes then do a ‘ cakeaway’ and take some home. Friendly staff and lovely surroundings with the added touch of colourful crocheted throws. Dog friendly too. Thoroughly recommended.

Went for afternoon tea for Mums birthday. It was so good! So much lovely food we took cake home for the lads which they quickly devoured. Excellent. Lovely lovely staff who can't do enough for you.

Gorgeous place for breakfast, lunch or tea. Everything homemade on the premises by the hay barn team you really are spoiled for choices here. Served by lovely friendly staff the place is clean bright and airy with comfortable seating. It's a first come first served basis but well worth any wait for a table. Thoroughly recommended even a seating area outside when the weather gets warmer. Well done ladies.

The cafe has changed hands, and although it looks the same place - it’s improved beyond all recognition food wise! We only had cheese toasted sandwiches but they were excellent- plenty of filling and a really lovely side salad to boot! The cheese was quality cheddar and the ham was home cooked and sliced (none of your thin tissue paper watery stuff) The coffee was good, and the cakes on display looked wonderful, though after the toastie we didn’t have room (or time) for cake - but will certainly manage it next time....

Excellent wait staff. Very polite and pleasant. I had eggs and they were beautifully poached with young spinach and smoked salmon. A very decent sized portion. My husband had the meaty ploughman's and said it was delicious and he was well stuffed. Very reasonable cost. Will certainly make this a regular place to visit.

As always, the Haybarn experience was wonderful. Today we had cream teas that included a large choice of finger sandwich fillings, dressed mixed salad, fruit pieces & cream, magnificent scones with jam & cream, plus a large slice of our choice of the day’s cakes (about 8 to choose from) & teas or coffees. Thank you, Team Haybarn, really delicious 🥰

We turned up and was busy and using a buzzer system. Wasnt long before we were seated! We sat outside, we had the dog with us. Dogs were welcome inside but the first table that came up was outside. Lovely outside area. Food was amazing, we both had a breakfast and even took some cake home :) friendly helpful staff. We will definitely be back soon.

When we arrived there were three empty tables inside and a few outside, but they still had my 85 year old Mum and myself us standing outside for about ten minutes as the kitchen was overly busy. Staff attentive, food extremely good (other than chips which were undercooked inside but dark out and mums underwhelmed her a bit) Carrot cake in the photo though possibly the best I have ever tasted.

Enjoyed a nice drive out to have something to eat. First time of visiting the Hay Barn Cafe but had driven past on numerous occasions and thought how nice it looked. Pleasant and helpful staff, good range of food and drink that was well prepared and very tasty. The breakfast was spot on.We had an outside table and enjoyed the sunshine. Would highly recommend and we will be back at some point.

Haven't been for a while so popped in on my way past whilst on the bike. Every bit as good as I remember. Looks like they can get pretty busy as they ask to seat you on arrival. Good system though. Coffee very flavoursome 👍. Had the cheese, mushrooms and onion toasty. Very nice indeed with a decent bit of salad and some crisp garnish. Wouldn't normally mention but the crisps were very nice. Pleasant and helpful service. Definitely recommend 👌 👍.
