Friendly staff, the scone and ice creams were great, stop for a break here. They also have boats that you can rent and enjoy the amazing view of knaresborough
Gorgeous cafe by the river, we sat outside and took in the stunning surroundings. We were warmly welcomed, given biscuit for our dog. The coffee and hot chocolate were excellent, large hot, well made and presented. Homemade muesli flapjack was soo good and toasted teacake also. The river location m
We came for lunch on a drizzly day. We only had to wait for around 1 minute before being seated and the staff were all very friendly. The indoors is spacious with lots of seating and dogs were allowed inside.
We had a delicious lunch and the staff gave our little dog lots of fussing. There were oth
Marigolds is well known locally and for good reason. You can hire a boat here or enjoy a meal while watching some comically poor rowing from the enclosed area or the extensive outdoor seating. When the weather doesn't suit, the indoor seating area is warm, well lit and has a lovely river view. I fou
We arrived as a group of 7, plus a dog. We were welcomed in and chose to sit inside due to the high chance of rain! Luckily the moment we got settled inside is when the rain started! We sat beside the huge windows and watched the boaters go up and down the river, very entertaining!
We had a mixture
The staff are very lovely and the food is fantastic - good prices and good view too!
Lovely next to the river especially this sunny day visit. Staff friendly and just a short wait for a table. Food very good. They're steps around the site so caution required for those a little unsteady. Dog friendly and got a biscuit.
Came for the boats and were not disappointed! Absolutely gorgeous on a sunny day!! Wish we could of stayed for the food but had been elsewhere for lunch before we went on the boats! Would definitely like to return and have lunch by the river!
Fantastic food and beautiful scenery! We waited probably 20 mins to get in but well worth it. The food was delicious and especially eating with the view of the river/bridge and people canoeing. Would definitely recommend. Food was slightly costly but you pay for the view as well. 9/10 👍🏻📸
We visited Knaresborough for one day only and had our lunch here.
It was a hot day, queues were everywhere; for a boat, for an ice cream and this cafe was not exception. We were waiting for 20 minutes to be seated but it was worth it. The view is nice and relaxing.
The food is OK. Nothing special bu
Highly Recommend
Amazing breakfast, great coffee and airy interiors
Their English Breakfast could have been improved, it didn't have sausages!
Mushroom on Toast was out of this world.
Kids Picnic platter was decent
It's a 5 min walk from the station and there are always long queues.
There's a wat
Wonderful breakfast and cappuccino, nice views of the river great service. Would definitely recommend . 😉👍
Lovely setting and tasty coffee and scones. Had to half it actually , as my wife caught sight and swapped a bit of hers for mine...both very nice!
Best views in Knaresborough with properly good coffee, good value breakfasts and friendly, attentive staff for a perfect start to the day. Lovely outdoor tables when weather permits and cosy wood burning stove. Take one of the rowing boats out and the views get even better.
Great food in a beautiful location on the side of the river with friendly helpful staff and both inside and outside eating area.
Very enjoyable and efficient. The waiters and staff were polite and on top of everything. The food was good and a reasonable price. It also affords a great view of the Nidd and the viaduct.
Well worth enjoying the boating if you can! You get an hour and it goes past very quickly! The river is calm with wonderful foliage and ducks for company.
