The Lavender Tea Room is a beautiful little gem, hidden above a gift shop. As you head upstairs, there are two large rooms to sit in. The staff were absolutely lovely, especially the older gentleman with white hair, he was an absolute gem.
The food itself was marvelous too, the homemade beef lasagn
Stopped here for lunch on a misty day in October.
Initially there were no tables available, so the lady kindly sat us down to wait & offered drinks whilst we waited.
Once seated I ordered the homemade cheesy cauliflower & broccoli soup with a Wensleydale cheese sandwich with chutney & a side salad.
Came across this lovely little tea room by accident. What a little gem it was too. Had a lovely Coronation Chicken(generous filling) sandwich and bowl of soup. The soup was just the way your mother and granny made it… delicious. Lovely staff and great service too, a real pleasant quality lunch.

Cracking little tea room, plenty of character and very quiant. Lovely food and a good menu to choose from. Seating outside on nice days and seating indoors overlooking the square. Good quality food at reasonable prices. We paid £14 for afternoon tea for two. Well worth a visit.
