Ate here on both nights we were in town, excellent service and the food was delicious on both nights. Lasagne, fish and chips, sirloin and pie of the day all Bob on, well presented, cooked to perfection and generous portions.
This is a lovely pub, staffed by top notch people. The beer and the food are great. Plenty of choice, always including great veggie and vegan options. Friendly, comfortable and very reasonable, price wise.

we turned up without booking and little early before they served food . no problem , very friendly staff , ordered the " codfather " which was just fish and chips but a really big fish . It was delicious. others had pies and said they were lovely. can see why it's no1 on trip advisor. Only disappo

Liked this place full of character. Nice location overlooking the river Nidd. Fish n chips were perfect, no bones, no skin and a light batter. Beer was perfect too. Friendly landlord and staff, recommended.
