We stayed in the cottage for a week. Everything and more than you need for self catering although we did eat in the restaurant many nights. The views and tranquility were amazing in the cottage. The hospitality we received from Rachel and Alan was wonderful. Couldn't do enough to ensure your stay was perfect. The food was excellent. We tried many different dishes from the menu and couldn't fault anything. Large portions and exceptionally great value without compromising quality. We hope to visit again next year. Thank you for a great week.

After working in a major city for 3 months. I needed a peaceful escape. I found this little Gem whilst searching on google and thought I would give it a try.
We contacted Feversham and they had no rooms available to stay at the pub but they advised we could stay at their cottage just opposite the pub, so we hired the cottage. When we arrived we were greeted by Rachel the landlady and she instantly made us feel welcome. We then went to the cottage and wow! It was the perfect retreat, super cosy, GCH, comfy beds, sofa, all amenities were included. It also had the perfect views from the window.
On the evening we went to the pub for food. I couldn’t have asked for a better service, Rachel again made us feel very welcome and I ordered the “hotshot Parmesan”, they were not shy on the portion! If you want a hearty meal, this is your place. The food was delicious!
The next morning we had a hiking trip planned and went for breakfast at the pub and we were greeted with a friendly smile from Paul and Rachel, again the breakfast was delicious, we had a full english, fresh coffee and tea. There are also numerous cereals, juices etc available. We then spent the day hiking around North Yorkshire, beautiful views, and took in the place. After a 12 mile hike we needed food and beer and warmth. We headed straight to the pub. The pub is what you can imagine a full country pub should be, however this place has great depth to it. Two large fires, two cute dogs, cask ales, great hearty food. Rachel really gives the place great character. Paul is very much part of the place too, he also made our stay very welcoming.
Fantastic pub. Really welcoming and the food is fantastic. We have been twice. First with a larger group and a dog for a birthday celebration and today just with the 4 of us for our last day. Would thoroughly recommend the place. Try the pork belly. If you are looking for a cosy pub, with great food and a nice atmosphere look no further than here. We will be back 👍🏻
Great location in middle of moors, stunning views, rooms clean, and modern bathroom. Breakfast large and tasty. Friendly staff, evening meals are OK but not outstanding, asked for steak rare but was medium well done. Would recommend as only a minor point.
Food good, standard pub menu. Beer good. Very friendly staff. Parking can be a bit tricky.
So good the chips were the best thing ever. Loved the view. Staff really kind.

This place is amazingly good! the pizza is SO good and the service is stupendous. Woody is a good host. Rachel is also very funny. I hope they see this!
Really loved our stay will definitely you back. Land lady was lovely. Food was great. Breakfast was great. We stayed in dove room .
Great Beer, good food, somewhere to pitch the tents. Might try B &B next time.
Great food and good value. Beef was perfectly cooked. Maybe play music in the background but otherwise spot on.
We stayed for 2 nights for bonfire night to get dogs away from fireworks stayed in cottage it was lovely and so peaceful and quiet ideal place if dogs don't like fireworks the owners were lovely and friendly breakfast was fantastic would highly recommend
We arranged a family get-together here for Lunch today. Food and cask ale were excellent. Delightful traditional atmosphere complete with open fire and a log burner. Reasonable prices, lovely staff and looking forward to our next visit.
Has a great lunch here with the family on wet Thursday lunchtime and it brightened the day. Will be back. Portion size was good and food quality was amazing.

How good was this pub, well you must visit to find out. Dogs are welcome so I did let my miniature schnauzers down by leaving them at home but we will visit again 👍
