We stopped here on a journey back from Blackpool and we want to now make it our regular stop off!! The food was excellent.. the server was friendly and chatty. We were told by another regular that it's a family business and it's clear they must have a following as while we were there, more people came in to get a table and were having to go away and come back. We had cake and coffee too because we were having such a nice time there. It was also delicious.
Dogs are welcome and I will say the place is full of dogs, there was one at each table.. so depending if that's a positive or negative for you may depend on if you eat here. We're dog people, so for us it was fine and we may bring our own dogs back sometime. There was also things to look at and read there. It was just a charming lunch.
One of our favourite places we found to eat.
Very welcoming, great atmosphere, and friendly.
Everything on the menu appealed to us.
Really happy with our food and service.
We bought some art that is available near the front door and there's other things inside for sale too.
Love it 💜 we look forward to going back sometime.
The perfect place to stop and recharge.
The food was excellent and unbelievably good value. The service was second to none and the little cafe was very tastefully decorated with books to read and gifts to buy.
It's dog friendly which is lovely, at one point 2 dogs were having a little barking match and the owner went and got dog toys to keep them occupied and quiet.
We had an excellent lunch and will definitely make sure it's our regular stop when traveling through
Dropped in on way to Lake District. We were welcomed in by the owner. . . We ordered tea, coffee and soup.
The drinks were quick to come and were very hot which is how we like it. The carrot and coriander soup was again hot and tasted lovely.
The best piece was the selection of gluten free options. The soup was Gluten free but also two types of cakes and the bread for the soup. Definitely a little gem.
We waited most of our week for this little gem to open, and it was well worth the wait. The welcome was fantastic, for humans and doggies alike! Infact my doggy was served before me 🥰 the food was beautiful. We had vegetarian breakfast and it was just what we needed, not too much and not too less either, just perfect. The atmosphere was lovely and there are lovely little things for sale too. I highly recommend this cafe if you're in Kirkby Stephen. 5*
What a fantastic coffee shop! We came here for a bite to eat last week (large group of 8 of us, including two kids) around lunchtime. Staff couldn't have been friendlier, food was lovely and the coffee was great. Plenty of selection all round! Owner even gave us some recommendations of places to visit whilst in our stay. Truly excellent cafe. Definitely worth a visit if you're staying in the area, or passing through.
Lovely cafe with great food and prices. Visited as a group of 4 cyclists during a long ride in the area. Fast service and really enjoyed a jacket potato which was presented well and cooked to perfection. Others had all-day breakfast sandwiches. Everyone enjoyed the food and it was great value.
Great Cafe. Service was brilliant. Food was delicious. We had breakfast, freshly cooked, quality produce cooked very well. Very reasonably priced. Dog friendly as well. Not many tables so get in quickly it's really worth it.
Popped in today with our large German Shepherd pup. Absolutely gorgeous food, cracking service and lovely friendly atmosphere. Staff were really lovely……even gave our pup some left over bacon. Locals were also very friendly. We will definitely be back. Thank you for everything x
We arrived quite near closing but we're met with a very warm welcome. Grumpy dog was made welcome too! Food was excellent and we didn't feel rushed. We'll definitely be back.
