Lovely, friendly staff. They were a wee bit too busy when we had dinner, and were slightly run off their feet. A tourist couple had to ask four times to book lunch for the following day. Not the biggest thing but would probably annoy some folks.

Excellent breakfast each morning and lovely evening meals in the bar. Very friendly and welcoming staff and the pub is in a great location for local walks or further afield, or as a stopover to break up a journey north/south on the M6!

Visited here for Easter meal, they managed to fit a big party in and were very professional through out. The food was lovely, big portions and very good value for money. Would recommend anyone in the local area
Called and made a last-minute reservation on a busy Sunday afternoon. They were very accommodating, had the 3 course Sunday dinner. Bloody lovely and very reasonably priced .

Lovely pub in a peaceful location. Looks very popular for food although check winter opening and serving times, it is usually closed for a couple of hours on weekday afternoons. Very helpful staff, interesting building. Old style furnishings which have seen better days although that just adds to the

Booked for Sunday lunch after walking all day and can't say how great that decision was. Service and the Sunday lunches were superb. Will definitely be returning to try the rest of the menu.
