A lovely Indian restaurant in a smal town. The staff are pleasant and welcoming. I was ordering for 2 people. My favourite item on hem order was King prawn butterfly (order a madras sauce on the sode to dip). It was really succulent and not dry. The chicken tikka massala got a 9/10 from my friend.

Came here for Saturday evening meal. Lucky to get a table as it was pretty full at 7.30pm. Great selection of quite unusually dishes to choose from their special menu, so we selected some poppadoms and a main course each plus a beer. The service was excellent - fast and accurate, so received our meals quickly and the quality was also great. They did not do ice cream as a dessert, so you need to go elsewhere if you want this. Overall cost was around £25-30 per person, so quite good value.

Upon entry of 'The Mango Tree', we were welcomed by a waiter who took us to our table . Ate some food....was very nice. Paid bill.... was reasonably priced. Job done! Will probably go back again if I was in the area!

An extensive menu meant it was hard to choose but the knowledgeable waiter gave excellent advice. The food was delicious, the staff friendly and helpful and the restaurant was cosy and spotlessly clean. The cost was a reasonable £30 each including wine. I would not hesitate to recommend.

Open till late when most other dining- in places in Kirkby Stephen were closing, the Mango Tree was a very good experience. Service was pleasant, food was tasty and everything was clean and spotless. We had the Chicken Biryani, Keema Bhuna and Tandoori roti, all of which were very good. Recommended.

Had my birthday meal in here on Tuesday. Well, it was almost a year since we last visited this magnificent place so we thought we'd try it again. The staff are super friendly, welcoming and accommodating. It's nice to be able to have some banter with staff. They're extremely knowledgeable with the food and options they can do to create to the perfect meal for you. The food is still as amazing and tasty as last year! Definitely the best curry house I've ever eaten at! Simply divine! We will be calling back for a sit down meal again. But for tonight, it will be a takeaway meal. Can't wait!!

Quality indian food, despite being the only Indian restaurant in Kirkby it lives up to its reputation. Serving staff were very kind & polite.
