A compact but welcoming cafe, spotlessly clean, and serving some very tasty food. The staff are friendly, helpful and solicitous, but never intrusive - they're just magically there when you need them. I cannot speak highly enough of them (or the Cumberland sausage bap I consumed).
Overall an excellent experience. I called in on a whim, but would make a point of revisiting whenever I'm in Kirby Lonsdale.
We called here for breakfast on recommendation from a local store owner.
We all had full English breakfast , food was great quality, hot and tasty. Staff were very welcoming, professional and polite. The cafe was very clean, not the cheapest but great value overall. Would definitely recommend 😀
Loved the food and the service. Went in and had the Cumbrian Breakfast and the Guatemalan coffee, both were superb. I had gluten free and it was great. Brilliant attention to detail, they even included a gluten free biscuit to go with my coffee which isn't the case in the majority of places.
Great food and friendly staff. The service was very good. The outside dining area offered a nice spot to enjoy the sun while having lunch in the centre of a very quaint town, surrounded by stone built cottages. Well worth a visit.
Really lovely wee cafe with a vegan menu!! Food was yummy and they even boxed it up for me to take away when I couldn't manage it all. I had a flat white with soya milk and it came with a wee home made vegan biscuit too. All in all a lovely little place that was open on Easter Monday ☺️ A bit small on the inside if you're still feeling a bit overwhelmed by people after covid. And you can't see any of the cakes before ordering (which is quite unusual). Staff are friendly and will come if you speak up to get their attention when it's busy. On the pricy side for us, but maybe that's standard pricing around these parts 🤷 All in all, a nice visit with parking outside on street free for 1 hour.
Excellent coffee n walnut cake. I spilled the milk n the staff was very polite, n efficiently replaced the milk. Great presentation on the cake.
Lovely little place. The food is very tasty and served really quickly, without it feeling rushed. A bit on the expensive side but the food & drinks were of a decent quality.
Good food and sensible prices. Attentive staff and cafetieres of coffee available - much better value than a cup.
Beautiful food the home made broccoli Stilton and mushroom soup was delicious also the variety of homemade cakes so many to choose from...well worth a visit if your passing
What a fantastic place. Relaxed atmosphere, great service and really tasty food too. Each of us devoured the Sourdough Toasties, HALLOUMI ( incl Honey, tomato, harissa, avocado) & SAUSAGE (incl cheese, red onion marmalade), each accompanied by a side salad. Delicious, really filling and such an enjoyable non rushed experience. We also loved their Roobos tea. It was fresh, crisp and full of flavours (smooth orange, peach and eucalyptus flavour).so we purchased a large bag. 5 star visit and whilst Kirby has numerous eaterys we have visited, this place beats them all. Thanks for excelling.
