Came here tonight with my best friend and I'd like to say wow you certainly get you're money's worth. I had the cottage pie with chips and vegetables, my friend had lasagne and we both were very satisfied. staff were really nice too. Will be here again 😀😀
Had a lovely three course family meal yesterday food was excellent and staff very attentive. It is my third visit and will definitely be going back .

Excellent experience from arrival to departure. Tobias,our server was great, very attentive, and made experienced suggestions for our meals. Lovely atmosphere in the Inn side, didn't go to the pub section . Very nicely maintained interior in a great old building. We had mains and puddings, all fantastic quality well prepared, we loved the veggies on the side to share. I had the Manhattan stack for pudding and it was amazing; beautifully rich and not too sweet.

A group of 14 adults and 1 infant., booked at short notice for my husbands birthday. Excellent service from the initial phone call to the food on the plate. Super food, far far better than one would expect from pub food. A real credit to the team.
Had an amazing meal with a friend. I chose the Cajun chicken burger which was the most delicious chicken burger I’ve ever had. Followed by a yummy apple, rhubarb & cherry crumble with cream (choice of custard or ice cream available too) from the special of the day. Lucy’s service was efficiently, informative & friend with an extra unprompted offer to help with the doors for my wheelchair user friend. We’ll be back 🙌
Called in and had a really nice breakfast, which was a reasonable price.
This was our first visit on a recommendation from a friend, and we were not disappointed!
We ordered a mocktail to drink, fish cake starter, and had the Cajun chicken and Wexford chicken as mains, followed by treacle sponge and choc & orange sponge with custard. We honestly couldn’t fault any of it. Absolutely 5 stars, and we’ll definitely be returning and recommending.

Visited last night 13th July with my daughter & her partner. Not been in the countryman for a few years. Really good service. Lovely food cooked to perfection. Can’t remember the waiters name thin lad with glasses very good! Nice atmosphere. Definitely recommend
We had a lovely meal , the service was excellent and the staff attentive. We were very impressed with the Gluten free options , my other half is coeliac and most places we go have extremely limited menus that she can choose from, so it made a refreshing change to find such a wide choice to pick from.

Always lovely quality food here. Good attentive service. Nice atmosphere. I enjoyed a very tasty veggie cheesy cottage pie.
Lovely country pub. Lounge type bar area separated from two dining rooms. Wide range of main courses, to include several for vegetarians. Book in advance as often they are fully booked. It is quite and elegant place. For local chefs would recommend to be more creative in respect of visual view of main courses :)
Simply the best food without a doubt in this area all food is locally sourced and delicious.The staff are friendly and polite they are always eager to help.
If you haven't tryed this place I would highly recommend a visit you wouldn't be disappointed.
