The Half Moon - Kirdford - Photo album

Wow We went for the tasting menu and music night and simply stunning. The food was superb. The music was fantastic and the volume was at the right level so it was audible but not loud so you couldn't hear yourselves speak. The service was really top drawer. We had Louise hosting our table and s
We came for a Sunday lunch here, and there is a lot to compliment. The staff were very kind and helpful, never standing around. There was also live music to enjoy, a very talented guitarist. (No rock šŸ˜…) On top of this, the food was fabulous, and we couldnā€™t get enough of it. Even the beverages were
Our favourite pub ever! We had our wedding reception at the Half Moon last summer for 120 people....Gavin, Louise and the team worked tirelessly to make the day perfect, and the food was so special. They were really flexible and delivered on everything we wanted for the day. We couldn't recommend mo
Itā€™s a lovely pub in a pretty location, the garden is nice and the service was pretty good. Adult food is pricey but delicious. Theyā€™re a bit big for their boots in charging deposits and trying to demand Pre-ordering etc. when it is a pub and youā€™re going with a party of 6 adults. My main criticism
Having just recently moved to the village, we decided to give this place a try and have to say, it lives up to expectations! Service was initially very slow but food was to die for and weā€™re happy that ā€˜our localā€™ is a stoneā€™s throw away! Delicious šŸ˜
I took my wife here to try the tasting menu. I have to say that the quality, variety, and presentation of the food was superb. The pub had a nice atmosphere and was very comfortable to dine in. Will be coming back!
Great food in a pub with a lovely atmosphere. Had the best octopus and cracklin I've ever had! Service was very friendly and I had some brilliant wine too. I did however find the seats a bit uncomfortable and it was quite pricey overall. However prices for wine I thought wasn't too bad. Definitely
Not so much a review, but just a little heads up that it is Ā£8 for a small glass of house wine, for those unfamiliar with the area and price bracket. However, it is the only pub in Kirdford which makes it exclusive in a sense.
The food here is excellent but oddly I canā€™t post a review about it!? Weā€™ll be going back for sure. Sue
Good food great service convivial atmosphere what more to say highly recommend always had a pleasant time
Impromptu lunch in a welcoming open fire lite cosy country pub. A warm welcome from the Staff and a delicious tempting new seasonal menu. The food was exceptional, certainly a very talented chef in the kitchen. We had the stuffed plaice and roast turkey where every detail and component on the plate
Wonderful service, food and drinks. Ludovic is an excellent host. A must visit if you're in the area. We'll be back soon. X
What a wonderful experience! Lovely location, excellent service and the food was outstanding. Would highly recommend if you are in the area.
Good food and friendly staff. We were seated in a quiet area. There were no other diners until shortly before we left, which was a shame. The bar area however was buzzing. Enjoyed the meal.
I've tried the tasting menu, the a la carte, and the curry tasting menu. All are outstanding. The flavour combinations are spot on, and so is the service This is our new favourite restaurant šŸ˜€
This is a lovely pub that has surprisingly good food. Had a crab starter that was nicely balanced. And a roasted celeriac dish that was really nice. The service was great too. Got quite busy as we were leaving so, if you want a quieter meal, go early.
