Stumbled across this little pub and glad we did.Food was fab and staff very friendly. All in all a great experience.
Excellent family pub with good food. Heart of the village, and miles better than the Dundas Arms!
Quality food, interesting and diverse menu (chips were as good as I've ever had) friendly staff, trad English country pub, didn't investigate the Beer on this occasion. Definitely would come here again.
Stopped in for a pizza with the family - very friendly and welcome - our dog was a bit naughty and we were spoken to with respect - other places have been really funny - great time great food and great atmosphere
A lovely & cosy pub we've stumbled across on a walk. The owner is super friendly and very accommodating; she told us that she took over the pub only a couple of months ago. We were lucky enough to come on a half price pizza day so we enjoyed 2 vege pizzas (they even do vegan cheese 😍) with our drin
Lovely Sunday roast and live music. Quick and friendly service, hot delicious food. Canadian band called Knackers Yard. Brilliant.
Warm welcome, good food and a friendly atmosphere. A proper pub.
What a lovely little place. We visited as a small party out of curiosity following recent closure for a meal. The new owners couldn't have done more for us if they tried. Absolutely nothing was too much of a problem and the young lad serving was exceptional. We later learnt he was completely new t
Lovely village pub, big garden to the back. Similarly to the last post, we stumbled across this after a long walk. The landlady has clearly put a lot of love and care into the place. Worth a visit.
On our narrowboat looking for a proper local pub and found the Blue Ball. Under new management (Lisa) for just a few weeks but already just what we wanted. Friendly staff and locals. Great pizza. Recommended.
We loved it! Relaxed, gentle & genuine ambience. Great taste in background music (but really background - not too loud!) 'Real' people. Real cute dogs too. And excellent, filling food! Thanks for a great evening.
Great pub, friendly staff and new management. Well worth the support. They've painted the tables outside and it all looks bright and welcoming. Food is proper pub grub. We recommend!
A little gem which deserves more advertising to boaters stopping at the lock. The new landlady Lisa couldn't have been more accommodating and welcoming. The Timothy Taylors is well kept, and the food though not as gourmet as the nearby Dundas Arms is of good quality and reasonably priced. Little pub
Randomly came across this little village pub, staff are very friendly and welcoming, food was amazing, would recommend the meat feast pizza! will be a weekly visit from now on!
Really friendly pub, full of locals. If you are on a narrow boat think slightly outside the box nd the obvious. Cut through the church yard, along a small passage take you directly to the back. Good quality food, exellent value and great staff. Dog friendly.
Finally found a ovely pub with a proper pub garden! Food was very tasty and good priced.. also landlady was very attentive along with other gentleman there: Would recommended The Blue Ball
I randomly ended up here celebrating a friends first house move and it was absolutely fab. The food, drinks and service is top notch! They were so accommodating, even with our special requests. Will definitely be going there again!
Great atmosphere, great beer and great food (the chips are probably the best I've ever had) I can't recommend this cozy but lively little country pub enough.
