Hands down the best fish pie and veg I've ever had, it's like the chef was my best mate and knows how I like my food.
Fantastic little village, perfect for a pint after a walk. We'll definitely be returning.
Excellent lunch - enjoyed by 4 diners- seared salmon and battered cod - quality, well presented with tasty vegetables including the chipped potatoes! Followed by poached pears and mixed ice creams, tea and coffee. O Michelle front of house very attentive and making us feel most welcome in an authentic setting.
This really is the best Sunday Roast in the Vale! Our meal was exceptional from start to finish-the service was absolutely impeccable, the goats cheese starter was delicious and the roast chicken was cooked perfectly, with the best roasties!
We ate in the snug which had a really cosy atmosphere (and is dog friendly!). Thank you so much to you and your staff :)
We came here for my wife's 40th birthday after having a table cancelled last minute. We called them and they accommodated 8 of us with no problem. The food, service and ambience was top notch. The live band even sang a song for my wife on her birthday. Such a lovely touch. We will definitely be back. Thanks for making our night one to remember.
We visited with friends for Sunday lunch. Pre-booked, our table was ready on arrival and the rest of our visit went just as smoothly. The owner and staff were genuinely welcoming and attentive; everyone was friendly and polite. The menu was varied and sourced with local, fresh products and our meals were expertly cooked, accompanied with well-thought presentation. Our afternoon was great value for the price and, if you’re looking for a Sunday lunch in informal and relaxing surroundings, then the Nevile Arms is most definitely recommended; we enjoyed a truly superb afternoon.
Had fabulous meal with friends last night. All food was excellent and service very attentive. Will be back
Amazing food, great events on weekly and free parking.
Lovely Marston’s pub in rural Notts. Nice place to watch some cricket. Lovely beer garden and ample parking.
Really nice pub. Cool beer after a lovely walk . Outside garden and tables. Didn't eat in but food smelt delicious will definitely return.
Excellent food at remarkable lunch prices. Three courses for £20 and I still full hours later! Very friendly and helpful staff. Worth going out of your way.
Stayed overnight in my Motorhome. What an absolute jewel. I ordered a sirloin with a pepper corn sauce as back up. Well let me tel you, this was one of the best steaks I’ve ever eaten ( and I’ve eaten a lot). Even compared to higher end restaurants this establishment can hold its own base on my meal this evening. The steak, as well as being of top quality, was cooked to perfection. I chose to sit in the quiet room which was just perfect with a selection of easy listening piano instrumentals and cosy setting, just perfect. Oh, no peppercorn sauce required ☺️
Two lovely family evenings spent at The Nevile Arms. Everyone agreed that the food was amazing, and Phoebe was attentive and brilliant at sorting out any problems.
A Saturday evening dinner for two. The food was fantastic. My partner would have liked a little more sauce with her fish... such a minor thing. The staff were lovely.
A nice surprise was live music in the bar. It was good enough to make us stay for the rest of the evening. Great atmosphere.
Great pub with very friendly owners and staff. The current owners are really putting a lot of effort into making it as good as it can be. The food isn't cheap but it's really very good
Good food and excellent service. Well worth the visit.
Sticky toffee pudding was heavenly.
Nestled in the middle of nowhere I visited for the monthly open mic which was amazing. Really impressed with the venue. Very cozy and warm. Good selection of beers and drinks. Nice friendly staff and the food seemed to be a hit with the customers although I did not sample it on this occasion.
It's location is in a village with a name that's easy to forget or pronounce other than those who live there. That said it's very tidy and Midsomer-esque with the locals who all seem to know each other although not a dangerous (hopefully)
Nice evening in all and I will likely return.
