It’s a bit of a hidden gem this place. We (4 adults) topped here for dinner while camping a few doors down (highly recommend the Kinlochewe CAMC site).
It felt a bit weird to enter via the hotel lounge area but that’s no big deal.
We felt very welcome, the staff were fantastic, all happy to chat and great service with one guy happy to talk a fellow customer through a bunch of the whiskeys on offer.
The food….ah the food. By far the best meal we had while exploring the area. The 4 of us all cleared our plates. The food was fresh, well presented and very reasonably priced.
I saw some reviews complaining that the place was closed due to staffing issues – it is what it is in a small place like this, its not a city with a whole bunch of people looking for jobs. I’d much rather they close as needed rather than provide sub-standard food and service.

Lovely old hotel located at end of beautiful loch.
Our room (8) was updated with original furniture. Bathroom was spacious. Restaurant is the best.
We popped in for a bite to eat. The food was great and delicious (we had the lamb). The drinks pumps make a funny noise so you had a weird sound going on, but we found it quirky.
Booked in for food one evening with friends and we all really enjoyed it. Good menu backed up with a large selection of wine, beers and spirits. This was one of the few places we all went for three courses. Good to see it busy but you still felt relaxed and the service was great from the friendly staff.
Lovely rooms, spotlessly clean bathrooms (shared, not en-suite), and gorgeous views of the mountains. The restaurant/bar was also stellar, and the staff was friendly and welcoming.
The food was great , and I would recommend the shoulder of lamb .

The room was really comfortable and clean. The staff were all so friendly and the owner was so welcoming. We ate in the restaurant at night and the food was amazing, great choice and came in really good time. We would definitely stay again!
Great food that is obviously “cooked with love”. One point, the bar is mainly for the use of diners and gets very busy (it’s on the NC500). As a result I would say it is essential that you book in advance to avoid disappointment. If the bar is full with dinners there is nowhere to sit if you just want a drink.

Stayed 1 night on our nc500 trip, owners and staff made you feel very welcome. We had a lovely freshly cooked meal in the restaurant (the beef was fantastic)
Lovely relaxed feel in the lounge for hotel guests, rooms were clean and comfortable.
We were warmly welcomed by Karen who pointed us to the room. Our Twin room was very comfortable, clean with a window overlooking the hotel garden. I recommend booking a table for dinner as the restaurant is very popular and a couple of people had to be turned away as they were fully booked. The food was amazing, the best we had on our NC500 trip. From all the hotels we stayed during our 9 day trip, this was by far the best accommodation, food and service we had.
Food was awesome, service not so great...as soon as we had finished eating we were asked to leave our table as they wanted it for other people, we were ushered into the lounge........an hour or so later we were asked to leave the lounge as it was for "hotel guests only"......there was no-one other then us in there, somewhat soured the experience. Think about how you serve your customers.
Wonderful stay with a caring friendly host. Also worth noting is the delicious vegan dinner options, even a vegan desert on offer, with very reasonable prices. Excellent breakfast, vegan option here as well! Thanks so much for all!
We had a wonderful stay at Kinlochewe Hotel. Staff was very friendly and helpul. Best part was the restaurant. The beef was the best we've had in a while and the whole meal was very tasty with fresh local vegetables on the side. The venison casserole was also really nice. Would definfitely come back if we're to be in the Highlands again!
Had a lovely evening meal here while staying at the local campsite. We were blown away by the quality and service. Beautiful dining room. The food was fantastic, from local seafood to slow cooked beef. A really fantastic meal and worth a detour!
Absolutely amazing meal we had last week. The food and the service was second to none. Unfortunatly did not get the names of the staff but they were very caring and spent time with us. The food was also excellent. Would recommend the salmon starter. Dog friendly. They even pulled up a seat for our wee dog. Long time since had such good service and meal out.
