I was sitting in a cloud of midges at the station, having been eaten alive by Scotland's national carnivore for the previous twa nichts, when the proprietor invited moi in for a gratis cuppa, even though they weren't even open yet! His lovely wife then made me a delicious bacon roll, after first coming up with the title for my latest wee tome 'A Feeding Frenzy!'

Phenomenal setting in Rannoch moor at the end of the road in the middle of nowhere you suddenly discover a tearoom on a railway station platform with friendly owners who care for their clients and guest like they were family members serving them home-made soup, toasties, hotdogs, scones and cakes that taste authentic and delicious! We love it!!

Popped in for the first time yesterday and we'll be back. We were too late to try the soup but I can recommend the lime and coconut cake. Although, to be honest, everything looked amazing. Friendly staff, clean, bright surroundings and beautiful scenery. I would highly recommend a visit if you are up this way. Really enjoyed the museum as well.

Quite a small cafe on the railway station offering good food, and lots of choice. When we arrived we were told there was over an hour's wait due to bookings unless we wanted to eat outside. As we had our dogs and it was a warm day we ate outside. If you have to eat here then I recommend booking beforehand. Food was lovely, and the service was really friendly and welcoming. Dog friendly and with such amazing scenery surrounding the station it really is a great place for lunch.

A lovely tearoom at the Loch Rannoch train station, a perfect place to wait for your train or have a break before or after your walk around the mire or just to sit and enjoy the view. The food is satisfying, especially the cakes.

Wow, what a super experience. We were a party of six and didn't book. We soon had a table. The food, drink and service was spot on. I'm a celiac so must eat gluten-free. I had a cheese, ham and pineapple toasties. This was a good size portion with an excellent combination of flavours. Well worth the journey, thank you. I have included a photo from 1975 I took when on holiday.

This place is amazing. Although small, makes up with warmest of welcome and great food and coffee. I had a sausage and egg roll and my wife had banoffee cake. The cake slice was easily enough for 2 people. I was pleased when it arrived, sporting 2 forks. It tasted amazing. Cakes freshly made, locally. This isn't a restaurant, it's more of a passers by, pop in tea room. Full of personality and lovely people. There is a car park onsite. A short walk over a foot bridge and down the other side onto the railway platform of Rannoch Station. So if your passing by or out for a walk, give these guys a visit. You'll come away really glad you did.

We enjoyed our lunch here, an easy 5 star rating from us. The drive out through the moor is a little bleak, but then that is part of Rannoch's attraction. The menu is simple, but everything we had was good. Be aware that the tea room is small, and the staff work flat out. Booking ahead is probably a good idea, though you can wait for available tables. It is possible to take the train from here for a further moor experience.

We visited this small cafe with lovely cakes by the Rannoch station last year and were really looping forward to come back again this year. It’s so nice, authentically and cosy. You have to get some time and come to enjoy the place.
