We loved the decor, especially the jugs. The service was amazing and the turbot was outstanding. We met the chef, his mother and the chef's son - all totally charming. Lovely people. We went for my dad's 60th birthday and he had a really special time. Great memories.
Food was lovely, a short menu but that's always a good sign. Service was very slow to begin with. Staff friendly and welcoming.
Not normally a lover of Sunday lunches, but the fathers day lunch we had today was amazing, thoroughly enjoyed by all and we will definitely return for another. Big thank you to the staff for the friendly and happy service as well.
Father's day Sunday Roast. Incredible three course meal. Marinaded trout with bruscheta, Roast Beef - which was mind blowingly good. Eton mess for dessert. They'd sold all the Pork and duck though so we got there a little late. Book early is the lesson I suppose.
First class food and service, we returned 3 times in the week we were there on holiday, highly recommend
Went for lunch, two courses and they were excellent, very pleasant hostess with a nice smile, only marred by two sets of pompous diners.
Had an outstanding meal today with my wife. The food was exquisite, Queen scallop superb and the jus with the steak was brilliant. My wife’s chicken was sublime The service was attentive and the owner was informative and knowledgeable. It was a pleasure to meet him. Thanks to him and the team
Great staff made us feel very welcome. Salmon starter needs more work. The dressed crab was excellent as was the surf and turf special and the pork belly. Service was top class throughout the evening. Thank you.
The food is wonderful, what can I say? It’s divine!! Catered for gf too!
The food was incredible, not only cooked perfectly but the actual quality of it was top notch?, thank you so much! Will definitely be back next time we are around
Great food with very friendly staff. All the dishes were made to perfection. We had a very comfortable stay in the rooms and the hospitality was fantastic. I definitely recommend a visit here!
Fantastic choice! A pub full of character which seems to be more about a restaurant experience than just a place for drinks. Situated in a beautiful area with a good outdoor area. Higher-end food than your usual ‘pub grub’ - but you can appreciate the difference and it’s still well portioned and pri
Fantastic experience all round! We found this stunning inn by mistake and were so pleased we did. Greeted by the owner on a hot sunny day we were seated in a shady corner and treated like old friends. Nothing was too much and with a little one in tow that was appreciated. We had gluten free bread
Ordered the sea bream. Meal was absolutely fantastic. Top rate. So tasty, well presented and a generous portion. Reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is the price. Menu is fairly expensive but not outrageous, however pints of beer are over £5 each!
Fantastic food. The heritage tomatoes were outstanding! It says a lot about a restaurant when the vegetables are delicious. Really enjoyed the food. Portion sizes were good. Staff were lovely.
