Great pub, warm, friendly with a good atmosphere.

1st time here. Can highly recommend. Nice to have proper home cooked food in a pub which was amazing. Alex the manager was very attentive to all customers. Will definitely be returning to try the Sunday lunch 😋
Great reasonably priced food. Super service in newly refurbished lounge. Washed down with a couple of real ales and good wine selection. Table very nicely set out and iced water without asking is a nice and unusual touch in a pub. We'll be back soon.
Excellent meal on Sunday 10/9/23 thee were five adults and one child. Plenty to eat, nice and hot, lots of veg, meat very plentiful. Desserts also excellent. Staff brilliant, thank you to Damian, and also to chef Chloe. Will certainly be going again

So glad we did as it was packed..Very busy at bar yet staff welcoming. Very loud big table in dining room and more people standing around them.

Went for lunch here on Friday 7th July 23 to the newly refurbished pub in Wall Heath where I live currently. Can honestly say atmosphere was lovely and the food was delicious, my sister had the BLT and myself had a cheeseburger with proper butchers bacon and was very tasty. I would highly recommend

First time visiting for lunch today with my daughter. Food was amazing could not fault anything all, the server Damien was amazing nothing for him was to much trouble, made you feel nice and welcome. Would defo be going back and defo recommending to people
We went to the tavern for lunch, we were served by Damion who was faultless the food was very good we had posh fishfingers on ciabatta and BLT on ciabatta both with chunky chips.

Oh my goodness, we booked for the Wednesday steak night special, and definitely weren't disappointed .
The steak was absolutely divine, melted in our mouths. Chips, sides and sauce were beautiful. And we have no complaints about the service, front of house, cleanliness or anything for that matter.
