Come here most Sundays with our football team after our match. Staff go above & beyond to cater for the hungry kids by putting on some fresh food for them. Most the adults take to the carvery which is absolutely beautiful, always tasty and cooker to perfection. Well done British Oak 👏

Lovely restaurant, we were served by a cheerful young lady named Ella who was very eager to help and very well spoken this was on tuesday and I'm sure we will be returning again soon. The only complaint we have is that the food was a bit dry and not cooked as much as we wanted for a medium well steak but that's based on preference and would recommend to others 100 percent.

Nice and friendly local pub which I use regularly. Staff are all brilliant and can't do enough for you. Good pub grub food with lots of different options and a very decent Sunday carvery. Nice outdoor area for the summer too.

We had booked a table thank goodness, as it was very busy, which was lovely to see. On arrival, we had to wait a few minutes,as they were busy serving at the bar. But then I told the gentleman we had booked a table. Absolutely first class service, he said he would take us to our table. We ordered some drinks, and then sat down. Nice clean table and menus. We then spoke to another barman, he took our order and again first class service. Very pleasant and a lovely smile. We didn't really have to wait long, the food came, and it was delicious. Mixed grill, absolutely beautiful, surf and turf, steak, as ordered, lovely chips. And all very nicely presented. And hot. My granddaughter's scampi and chips, big child's appetite size, really lovely and was totally finished off. There were definitely 3 clean plates. Garlic bread was soft cheesy and delicious. There has been so many people say, that the British oak had gone downhill, but our meals were really really good. Let's hope they keep it up. Because we shall definitely be going again.

We attended the Halloween children's party and really really enjoyed. Great effort made with decorations and making every child feel welcome and valued!! We've really noticed vast improvement since change of management

After being recommended to try we booked for sunday lunch. It was delicious and by the best carvery we have had. Every mouthful was tasty, the red cabbage was beautiful, the Yorkshire pudding was as big as the plate. Very good value for money. The staff were all friendly and welcoming. The pub itself was very clean.

Came today as travelling home, had a fantastic carvery and my daughter enjoyed a chicken burger. Service was fantastic and good value for money. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Will definitely be back.
