Great if you like deep fried seafood. The menu is simple and service quick/
Friendly.
Rice is served with melted butter making the meal very filling. Not the healthiest but well executed. Not too expensive. There are some river view tables as well.
Tasty stuff! Fast and friendly service from Niki (keep up the good work Niki!). This place serves up fresh and delicious grilled fish dishes.
The taste reminds me of the original Ocean Basket from South Africa, so that is a good thing!
Give this place a try, you won't be disappointed.
We visited the restaurant during Saturday lunch time. We were lucky to enjoy our delicious food by the river. The service was amazing, everyone was making sure, that the guest have a pleasant experience.

This restaurant is one of the most delicious seafood spots we have ever been around Kingston that we went to dine 3 times in our 2 weeks in the UK. The freshest seafood & flavorful selection. The staff were friendly too, which made the experience even better.
I'd seen this place a couple of times driving past and had wrongly assumed that it was just fish and chips however, it's much more than that.
OB do a wide variety of sea food including prawns, calamari, mussels, oysters as well as a whole fish.
Food was very tasty and the portion sizes were good.

Taste of South Africa - complementary roosterkoek (rolls) to start what more can I say... Gorgeous food, great location and atmosphere. Definitely a place to try if you like your seafood.

I was nervous that the food here wouldn’t live up to my expectations and be the same as they serve up in SA but I was wrong - it absolutely did. The meal was incredible, just as I remember it. Table service also great, our waitress was very polite and attentive. We didn’t have to wait long at all f

Ocean basket never disappoints!
The table salad and grilled mussels were especially good. If the weather is nice and sunny make sure you check for available tables outside.
