A weekly music night in Kingston upon Thames with the emphasis on contemporary jazz run by a collective of local players. Great bands every week of the highest standard. The Ram Jam is run by supportive management with time and thought put into creating an authentic jazz club atmosphere.

This is a classic venue where it is easily accesible by road and rail, big car parks opposite venue. Lots of Buses and a British Rail station nearby. The venue is at rear of Grey Horse pub and is a vibe in itself.Really friendly crowd of music loving people. The bands I have seen there are from every Genre and its a great thing to support LIVE MUSIC. On 18th December one of the best up and coming bands is playing there BREAKING BLUES and two support acts, my own band has played on same bill as two of these bands and I can say they are top notch. BREAKING BLUES is a 3 piece Blues Rock outfit of predominantly band written music , which is in the blues rock tradition, but with a contemporary twist, the songs are about you and me, amd the things we do, often a hard look at what drives the human condition, but in no way are they preachy or dull. The music is often poignient and exilerating in the same song. The song writing is accompanied by the bands musical and tight hard rocking sensibilty. You will leave wanting more and can have it in their new album, they are going places and you can see them now as.a.locally sourced product, before you have to pay loads to see them at the O 2 or Wembley stadium. I as a musician and with my own band, can grudgingly say that this is the best band in song writing, musicianship, stage delivery and vibe I have seen for many years. Dont miss a chance to see them in a great venue like Ram Jam Records , up.close and personal. Ken Muir

Great live music venue attached to a great pub with stunningly good barbecue, and huge side orders that a vegan can love, too. Excellent menu for paleo, too.

Fantastic little venue in the back of the Grey Horse Pub. Jazz on thursdays and Blues at the weekend, with special events throught the year. The drinks from the main pub can be brought into the club, with a vast choice of whiskeys and cocktails that perfectly accompany the music. Lovely atmosphere and range of acts, there will always be something fantastic on or new to discover. Highly recommended.

Really great atmosphere and a good night out! Ram Jam is the music area of The Grey Horse, so make sure you book the right section! When we went, there was a live band playing called The Good Stuff, who were brilliant! Tickets were £10 per person online. The food here is also really good. Our waiter recommended the Jacobs Ladder Beef Rib, which was falling off the bone and smoked with a rich bbq sauce! Great drinks selection too - Bourbons don't have a menu but ask the waiter because the collection is extensive!

TLDR: An absolute must if you are in Kingston Upon Thames or even close by. This is such an intimate spot. It is behind a relatively nondescript door at the back of the main restaurant just before the washrooms/WC/Toilets. The space is extremely small but the party is lively. A good spot for two people or one. I wouldn't recommend a big party. There just isn't the space. The live entertainment was excellent. The bar tenders/servers were really polite and friendly and the drinks were flowing. I could easily see myself being a regular here. I would give six stars if I could.

I feel privileged to have such quality talent at a venue so close to me. I'm fairly sporadic in my visits due to shift work and general lack of organisation on my part but I really admire & enjoy the Thursday and Saturday Jazz events at the Grey Horse

Great jazz venue. I played tenor sax, with Catherine Cooper keyboards, Alfie Carroll guitar, Dave Jones bass and Tom Hooper drums. Followed by a fantastic set by Duncan Eagles tenor sax, Max Luthert bass, Jordan Dinsdale drums.

Staff were friendly and helpful. The variety of drinks was as expected and not over priced at all. I would gladly go here again.

Cosy intimate atmosphere at the back of The Grey Horse pub, we came here to watch a live band and were delighted with the entertainment and staff. Tickets were £14 each but worth it
