Amazing scones and good quality teas from this lovely family business originally from the Cotswolds. Wonderful and quiet place to stop while shopping, they do nice gifts and also offer afternoon tea. The kingston cafe is on the second floor of John Lewis Kingston by haberdashery. The cafe is furnished in very girly pink and oversized florals. The staff are friendly, some of the clientele are a bit humourless but that shouldn’t put you off. Overall a lovely experience.
I recently visited this cafe and had the pleasure of trying their cappuccino and chocolate eclair. The cappuccino was rich and creamy, with a perfect balance of espresso and frothy milk.
The chocolate eclair was a delightful treat. The pastry was light and flaky, and the chocolate filling was decadently rich without being overly sweet. It was a perfect pairing with my coffee.
The atmosphere of the cafe was cozy and inviting, making it a great spot to relax and enjoy a cup of coffee and a pastry. The staff was friendly and attentive, adding to the overall positive experience.
I'll definitely be returning to this cafe to explore more of their menu.
I paid around £20 for a Latte, a cappuccino, 1 chocolate éclair and 1 cinnamon swirl.
The best birthday experience.
I celebrated my 24th here on the 27th and had the best time. The afternoon tea was lovely, fresh, and really tasty. My little sister was also able to get her dietary needs not only met, but me to a very high standard. The tea room is so beautiful and clean, and the staff were so friendly and kind.
I’m not much of a reviewer, but having such a pleasant experience, I had a strong urge to write one. So here goes.
Tucked away in the high-end shopping area of Kingston, this Café’s atmosphere offers a nice little respite with its high ceilings and windows to capture as much sunlight to fill up the room. a hidden gem is the best description I can think of for its location and setting.
Service is pleasant and precise. Staff is friendly and professional, prices are appropriate, and cafe is clean. I would hope when they are busy, that more staff will be on shift to help with the upkeep but that’s besides the point :)
I ordered earl grey tea with lemon, a fruit scone, and ham & cheese crossaint. What surprised me is the spicy chutney, FYI they also sell their condiments to take home. Anyways, tea and scone was scrumptious and the crossiant was crunchy delicious. I hope to order something from the set menu next time.
With a lovely & spacious cafe, friendly staff, and delicious food & tea, how can one not recommend such a pleasant experience that is Huffkins at John-Lewis Kingston =)
We have visited this caffee today afternoon with my husband. We've had a lovely time there even though it was very busy . Definitely they were short of staff and 20 minuts waiting for the food order, however the lovely girl with ginger/reddish hair did her best provide an excellent service.the food and coffee we've ordered were good and very delicious , definitely worth the price. I cannot say a bad word for the service we've received as there is nothing negative to say.Definitely will come back. Hope next time they will have enough people and the waiting time will not be so long, because we almost left. I am glad my husband convinced me to wait a bit a longer. Giving three stars for service only because of the wait...
We visited Huffkins recently for an afternoon tea and the experience was delightful. The place was nice and clean. The coronation chicken was sublime and the scones were really good!
But our experience wouldn’t be the same if Sedra wasn’t there to make it so pleasant! Thanks for helping with all our requests!
Went there the other day and had a lovely day out with my wife. All team was very helpfull, very friendly and caring.
Beautiful place with affordable afternoon tea options. They usually have a day special soup or cake. So do ask for it when you are there. It's also very easy to reach and might be ideal for students from the nearby universities and colleges in Kingston.
I booked a reservation yesterday for classic afternoon tea and lunch for my daughters birthday. The table reserved was lovely and the food was absolutely delicious.
My daughter was given a pretty cake as a birthday gift.
The service was outstanding and staff really welcoming.
Will definitely book again.
Thanks
Tanya Dennis
Seems like the team were a little under staffed on the morning. IT issues at the counter with a previous customer but it was really easy to order at the table. Tea and brownie was excellent.
