OMG! !
The 'Award Winning' words below the shop name caught my eye so I went in just to look at the prices.
Immediately someone gave me some chocolate to try for free and it's like the Hotel Chocolat, Leonida and Thornton's own versions but not the exact same.
The chocolate tastes of real cocoa and very smooth with a hint of sweetness that is different from other brands, which explains why it is an award winning brand!
Approx. 100g of chocolate costs £4. As its the festive season this could be the place to buy some special award winning chocolate!! A Christmas gift to myself 😅!
Superb and friendly chocolate advisors with that special chocolate look 😃 who deserve a chocolate or 10 for resisting all those chocolates!!
It's difficult to stay in a shop like this for too long. The question is, what to choose and not how much is the smallest portion.
The shop entrance is wheelchair accessible and the owner uses Fair trade ingredients so there should be a focus on allergen restrictions.
Excellent chocs for presents. There is nothing quite like a quality not overpriced truffles from non-common brand. I used them twice so far and the experience is well above par.
Amazing milk chocolate. It is nice to see some shops that have some unique things. Thornton's used to do Single Origin Dark chocolates until they stopped selling unusual things and started going into general stuff that you can get in most supermarkets. Its nice to have shops like Montezumas. I normally prefer dark chocolate but Montezumas milk Chocolates are great. Nice Mochas in the coffee shop upstairs too
Would I go into a shop because they happen to send pretty girls out into the street offering free samples of sumptuous chocolate? Er yes. Classy looking chocolate on sale downstairs and a coffee and tea shop upstairs. They specialise in various hot chocolate drinks. The Orange one was stunning.
I was wowed by this place as some others seem to have been.
Firstly, it's a pretty bare, clean but empty cafe above a chocolate shop.
The chocolate shop itself is pretty incredible and seems to have a million and one types of chocolate treat, but I'm reviewing the cafe here.
Again I'll qualify slightly by saying I've been here to have coffee and not a hot chocolate (which may well be incredible) and found it to be fine. Well, nice. Nothing spectacular, but nice.
What is a bit of a let-down though is just how little they've done with upstairs. Yes it's pretty small but it's really so open and light that it's not welcoming and not somewhere one can expect to spend some time nursing a nice warm drink for a while.
I'll surely return as it's not Starbucks or Costa (which as a swarm seem to be attacking Kingston everywhere you look), but it's just not somewhere I'd want to spend a good while perhaps with a newspaper.
There's not even any free Wi-Fi which makes you think they're not really looking for people to lounge.
Wonderful real chocolate bars and boxes, from 100% dark chocolate to creamy milk and white chocolate. Plus exotic flavours and truffles. Not cheap but worth it for quality and flavour.
Great selection of vegan and sugar free artisan chocolates. Friendly and professional service. You can also taste some samples as well. Yummy 😊
Quite simply, the best hot chocolate in London. In fact, they serve the best hot chocolate I've ever had! Unlike other cafés, you see them make it from scratch in front of you (rather than something that has been pre-mixed and then milk is added at the time, so you don't really know what's in it, such as added sugar). This really is just montezuma's gorgeous dark chocolate, and some lovely creamy milk. You won't see hot chocolate in the same way again!
Apart from their various blends of hot chocolate, they do also serve other hot drinks, as well as a selection of lunch time meals and sweet treats. A true hidden gem.
Oh, and there's a shop full of delicious chocolates for you to explore as well!
Great selection of chocolates and gift ideas for everyone, pleasant staff and knowledgeable in what they are selling. Tasty samples on offer so in effect try before you buy...
We all know the chocolate is great however the Kingston shop has a great cafe upstairs. Not exactly comfortable seating but its cosy and quite.

Pricey, but that's chocolate shops for you. Good gift selections and can cater for vegans. Helpful staff.
This is a good place to buy good quality chocolate. It's lot more expensive than your standard Cadbury bar but different class
Montezuma's is a wonderful chocolate merchant. They invent a variety of indulgent and creative flavours, including a personal favourite Sea salt and lime
Great chocolate, lovely little shop close to the Bentall centre
Friendly, wide variety of chocolates, lovely little cafe upstairs, high quality produce
A delicious and ever changing selection of chocolate.. worth every penny!
The staff are always friendly and knowledgeable, my kids all love going there for a treat.
Amazing chocolates. Try both the dark and milk. You won't leave empty handed.
