The sashimi was perfectly fresh, moist and flavoured and we were offered a good mixture of fish including salmon, mackerel, tuna and halibut.
My wife loves it here, I'm not a great Sushi lover so generally go for the udon noodle chicken dish, which is tasty. Staff are attentive and ordered dishes were fairly quick to arrive at the table. Restaurant is also clean and tidy. Overall recommend.

Satori is located at the end of the toy section on the uppermost floor of Bentalls - I actually found it by accident, recognising the name from the previous Rotunda location.
Having not eaten an entire day, I decided to sit down around 4pm for a meal in Satori since I wanted to see what the place was like and didn't really want to wait to get home until I could grab a meal. First impressions - restaurant looks very clean and nice, seating is a little... strange in the front area as the wooden benches are bolted to the floor and slightly tight to get into. Server was very nice and helpful. Even offered to help explain the menu, although I did decline as I felt I knew enough to understand the differences between maki and nigiri etc. If you don't want those seats, there's also the bar-style seats by the conveyor belt.
What I ordered was rather small : 1 order of salmon maki, and 1 chicken noodle soup/miso. The total came out to around £9.35, and for that price you get 4 rolls of some absolutely delicious maki, and a roughly medium-looking bowl of some of the tastiest soup I've had the pleasure of savouring (complete with water chestnut, great-tasting chicken and some sort of leaves - none of that faux-Japanese liquid garbage). All the right mixtures of sweet, salty, and slightly tangy in exactly the right places.
I will say that anybody comparing Satori to the YoSushi downstairs is not thinking straight, as it's like comparing a Lidl to a Whole Foods because they "both sell food". Satori's prices may be a little higher than what I've seen in some places (mind you, the maki is cheaper than YoSushi...), but I believe that's strongly reflected in what you get. The only reason I'd ever drop in to YoSushi anymore is probably because they offer a substantial student discount, however they don't offer a card menu outside of their sushi.
So my overall recommendation is definitely a huge plus for Satori Kingston, in giving me the opportunity to taste some of the best food I've certainly had in a while, and in a good-looking, reasonably-priced location too. If you do plan to go, take advantage of their "5 Plates for £15" offer they do on Mondays. Makes it even more worth going. Will definitely be back, likely with friends! Friendly staff members, and delicious food! At an adequate price. Be sure you'll receive great customer service. An amazing option to visit with friends and family.

Food quality nice, but not the best Japanese food I had in the area. The look of the restaurant is nice and modern, but the benches are locked to the ground and are positioned in a very silly way. If you are tall or big you wont have a great time. Food is nice, but pricey. Went for lunch and the service was quick and very efficient. Hated that we couldn't have a jug of water, but single glasses but is really no biggie. For what we had it was very pricey though and the food quality albeit nice and portion sizes dont justify the prices
This has been one of our family's favourite restaurants for 9-10 years. Our children are now in their late teens and Satori is still their number one choice, so we often make a 20 mile round trip just to eat there as it's worth it. The quality of their food is always great as is the service.
One of my favourite Japanese restaurants as everything is very authentic and freshly prepared, there is a very vast menu that covers all aspects that you would expect from a Japanese restaurant. Set up high in the bentals centre, it is a calm haven set apart from all the harsh whiteness of the shopping mall with dim lighting and darker colours. The staff are always very friendly and the tables are always well cleaned. The only downside is that at peak times it can get very busy and as it is a small restaurant there might not be ample seating, but apart from this I would definitely recommend!
We have been eating at Satori for 6 or 7 years (since they opened). They serve the best sushi (and other dishes) that we've ever had - and we've eaten at many top notch, expensive sushi restaurants (Nobo etc). We often drive the 10 miles to Kingston just to eat there. It's not cheap but you pay for what you get - top quality food. I can't fault anything about them!
Excellent food, been to many sushi restaurants around Kingston area and this one is top dog. Very friendly and helpful staff and will prepare any sushi of your choice on demand and always feels like you are being served first. Sushi is very high standard, and I would recommend the salmon hand roll for any new customers!
I don't know how Nick Rice managed to find the food awful, because myself and my family have been visting satori quite often for nearly 4 years and not once has it not met our expectations and high standard of sushi. Also, satori has very reasonable prices, we have been to another sushi place called 'Maki' and is a posher sushi restaurant and their prices are extremely high for the little peices of sushi given, satori gives you a very decent portion for the money you pay and this is the reason for our consecutive trips.
I would also like to point out the postition of Satori as there are about 3 or 4 large tables inside that you can glance down on the whole of the centre while you munch on some sushi! The restaurant is situated in could be the best possible position, for the mums and dads, there is the children's toy section just out side.
So to sum up, very good food and service. And don't believe/pay attention to Nick Rices comment, it undermines everything.
We went for their 5 plates for £15 Monday offer, tried 20 different dishes between the four of us. Absolutely delicious! Will be there every Monday :)
Tucked away at the back of the Bentalls department store, a small conveyor belt sushi place.
Great friendly service, sushi here is better than YoSushi on the other side of the shopping centre.
Go on Thursdays for 50% deal.
Always fast, friendly and just gets better each time we come. Menu looks great but the kids love to help themselves straight off the belt!
Really nice atmosphere and food service was quick, not too bad on price and the food was delicious!
Fantastic food here, portion sizes were spot on, would definitely come here again
Delicious sushi, large size portions and today's offer for 5 dishes for 15£ was great!
