Amazing place in London. I love the food. can’t wait to come back here again. Congratulations to the staff.
Must go for fish n chips and Pimms !! Wines are also great 👍 tucked in a corner on the London bridge road this is a impressive dine out place with traditional food and contemporary setting!
A great discovery in the busy Borough Market, Fish! a very nice seafood restaurant, with fresh produce and great customer service, probably one of my new favourites restaurants in London. With a menu that includes classic preparations like fish and chips and grilled fish, any seafood lover can find an inspiring combination.
Fish! Is a casual dining place for families and corporate Meetup. The sea food you get here are one of the best in great Britain. Take your family here.
A visit to London without gorging o. the staple fish and chips - more akin to mention of England without the queen! And that’s how I was convinced to visit this place. I was told it has been a winner of a ‘fish and chips contest’ but that notwithstanding, I loved the ambience, and the food! Was alslightly disappointed by the chips as they were a little less done for my liking, but the fish was amazing. Ordered a Halibut and a Lemon Sole. And it was difficult to decide the better of the two!
I have passed Fish in Borough Market on many occasions. As I only seemed to develop a liking for seafood in later years, it moved up towards the top of my list as a place i wished to go. You feel that because it has been there a long time it has to be special to withstand the competition and fleeting tastes of folk. Having finally booked my table, I was a little bit stumped by the service. I sat there like a lemon with no one offering water or a drink. Staff preferred to make their finishing touches to their mis-en-place and chat. I had arrived early for my table 12.37, but I imagine the team should be ready to rock and roll with a busy market nearby and two settled tables inside.
I decided to watch them to make eye contact and I finally got attention. Having ordered a Gavi di Gavi, the glass arrived smudged with elements of the cloth they had used to dry it, great for a £10.50 glass of wine. Having ordered a bottle of water, he proceeded to pour it across my chest from the left to my glass on the right. Doesn't anybody get trained in service etiquette anymore?
I love seafood and the food looked great on their website, so I held on believing that the food would be the saving grace or at least the service would improve. Plus points on both fronts, the food was amazing and a blonde mature waitress who took over looking after out table really picked up the tempo on service.
Let's start with the food. Wow, the food. It was so good, I wish I could go back and start again from when the first dish was placed on our table. My visit was about seafood indulgence, so scrimping on can be ordered, it was full speed ahead. With a refreshing dry Gavi di Gavi to hand, we studied the menu for our order. Slight hiccup with our first order not being available (only after they went away to come back). Would be a good idea to know your 86 items, especially as we were on of the first tables to arrive. It was better service from there. Smiling, warm and sweet service. We finally settled on bruschetta and white bait. The bruschetta was truly something had not seen before. Red tomatoes that looked like they had been photo-shopped to look so vibrant and perfect. As my guest was Italian, she was certainly impressed too. As it was her selection, I could not wait for her to share her thoughts. She was delighted with the taste, mentioning that it actually tasted of ripe tomatoes. Now you would question why a tomato would not taste of tomato, but the thing is, most don't. They taste of nothing in fact. I imagine because of importing from hot countries, it is hard to maintain its originating succulence, and they may well be treated with all sorts of alien sprays to keep it at least fresh. Anyway, that is my inexperienced thoughts on it, but here, today, the tomatoes where lush on this crunchy sour dough bread. My whitebait was lightly floured and delicate.
For main course and with another Gavi di Gavi for me, we went for squid with chorizo and a whole lobster. Yes, I took it to the bridge and went for luxury. I do love lobster, regardless of the messiness with prying the meat out the tail etc. It is totally worth the fishy fingers. For her squid (tender) and chorizo (bursting with flavour), there was also more of our favourite tomato and sour dough bread. No problems with more of the same, as it was just plain lush.
My lobster had the perfect amount of garlic butter to no doubt warrant a mint after. The white meat, oh how I have dreamt of it nights to follow. Gorgeous.
Fish is the Fish place to go. Even with the service hiccups, the kitchen raised the bar and recovered the operational mishaps. Yes, I will go back and yes, I hope the service will be more consistent.
Place with a good atmosphere for a sit-down meal after visiting Borough market. Food was okay, not amazing but wasn't bad either. We had to give the table back in 2 hours but it was fair at lunch time for such a busy area in the middle of London. Relatively fast service too!
Ok food, pricy. I had a grilled sea bass with chips and bf for a cod and cips. My fish was tasty we were pretty impressed with the disclaimer at the menu flaming that everything is fresh and obtained from sustainable sources so we were happy. Our portions was big enough but i sensed and odd taste at the chips... other than that the fish was nicely grilled my bf really liked the fish and chips. We had orange juice and sparkling water with the meal and it cost us 49 pounds (gratitude included). But honestly though, you can get the same quality fish at somewhere else in town for less. So i guess we won't be visiting fish! again any time soon.
Nice spot for a fish supper. Nice food, well cooked, but dishes were a tad under seasoned, but apart from that all was good.
Not cheap, but actually very pleasant food. I was not disappointed by my £16 haddock and chips, which is saying something. Fresh, well cooked, with delicious chips and a decent portion. Slightly spartan inside, probably too big for the number of customers they get. I'd go back, when I'm feeling well-off!
Fresh fish cooked to perfection
I stopped at this nice restaurant because curious. I did not regret it. The food is perfect. The fish is fresh and cooked to perfection.
The tuna burger with chips is light and extremely tasty. They have a wide selection of dishes a specific menu for the take way service.
The service is just right, attentive, warm and welcoming.
I had surely a good meal without breaking my bank. If you are looking for a place where you can have fish and seafood at a fair price I strongly recommend it.
Cozy atmosphere, delicious meals! I strongly suggest Fish! especially if you're new in town.
The Fish is a chain which prides itself on getting the freshest fish for you to savor and enjoy. The innovative bit is ordering your choice of fish and sauce, customize it to your sensibility and enjoy your very own personalized preparation.
The place is always buzzling with activity with boisterous crowds relishing the food completely. From Macarels, Salmon, Squids, Cod, Swordfish to Wild Sea bass all are available to be grilled or steamed. We had ordered the grilled Cod fish with a spicy sauce. I really loved the flavours from the spicy sauce and thoroughly enjoyed the fish. The French fries served were a bit soggy and that was a dampener to the complete experience.
They do have take away menu which does seem inviting enough but I really doubt if you will enjoy a take away fish item. It makes sense to enjoy it fresh right there.
The place is slightly premium if you begin comparing the prices with other restaurants but for the overall dining experience this place gets my thumbs up.

The food was tasty and fish were freshly cooked for us. They have different varieties for fish&chips, which is creative. Some dishes are a little bit pricey compared to other fish restaurants around.
Super fish & chips . Recommend the mussels and frites as a starter if your hungry. Everything lovely and freshly cooked to order . Seating was a bit tight, my gang are all big guys 😂.
Amazing, service was incredible. Helpful and friendly. I took the suggestion of swordfish . everything was beautifully cooked and super fresh. Best fish ive had to in a long time. Good as a treat
If you want to taste super fresh fish literally caught the night before then it is your place to go to!
Want to buy or order online some special Fish & Chips? - it must be your choice again.
Professional, exceptionally friendly, helpful staff and excellent food.
You can even pick the piece of fresh fish you fancy for dinner from the Fishmonger next door and they will cook it for you.
Highly recommended!
More than just a chippy…
This fish restaurant is attached to a fishmongers so the quality of their produce is amazing. We ate-in and they have a wide selection of delights beyond you standard fish n chips. The whole time we were there there was a queue for takeaway which is telling on a Friday night.
I had the grilled monkfish which was cooked to perfection and served with salsa verde. Will be going back for sure. Five stars!
Fish Kitchen is a nice seafood restaurant in my local area just down the road. It’s a popular restaurant with the locals and those outside. The food was tasty and the depending on what you order, the portions are very generous. Some items can be pricey but with the addition of being able to buy some fresh fish to take home from the monger it’s understandable. Not all of the items on the menu are worth trying because you can find them in many other chippies. If you’re willing to try other items such as the whole spicy langoustines then you are in for a treat.
Wonderful fish and chips. Will return on next UK visit.
Best Fish & chips in town! Highly recomend the haddock. Great and quick service. Highly recomend if you like good fish. Thank You!
Good quality food and drink - the battered cod was just right. Proper fish and chips! Also, the staff are friendly and efficient, giving recommendations from the menu. All Covid-19 safety measures were in place. Will definitely visit again, Thanks!!
Not only really great traditional fish and chips, but attached to the amazing next door fishmonger. All fish and seafood from there can also be cooked and served in the restaurant.
Very much worth (repeat) visits!
Really lovely place, Tomek who served me (that's what the receipt says) was fantastic. Professional, attentive and smiley, perfect combo for a waiter. Food was delicious, very fresh oysters and my prawns were perfectly cooked.
Sebastian was fantastic and it’s really appreciated that they managed to squeeze us in on short notice , fish was great as usual , thanks
Great food as ever, I have visited Fish Kitchen in Kingston several times and it's big sister at Borough Market once and I think they serve the best Fish in London at reasonable prices
Friday 17th March takeaway night was absolutely delicious!! I have not visited for a while but have to say this is the best fish (tuna) and chips I have bought from Fish kitchen ever !! - it tasted excellent- 5 stars!!
Good portions, good quality and service, a little bit pricy for fish and chips ... but good overall.
I got takeaway Grilled Seabass and Chips for £11
I have walked past this place numerous times and just thought it was another fish and chips place...boy! How wrong was I.
Absolutely amazing fresh fish dishes. We both shared the calamari starter, and trust me it was superb. Not like in most restaurants where it's frozen, this was fresh, tender and tasty. Then my partner had the grilled mackerel and I had the fish of the day, both were delicious.
Tasteful and stylish decor inside and extremely clean.
Really friendly and helpful staff.
I highly recommend you go.
I will most definitely be back.
