Oh die Frolig, Oh die Frolig is a baie lekker ding. It was amazing waiter was a darling. Beer was amazing. Hax or pork knuckle was gorgeous with saurkrout. Outside seating has epic views. Think I found my regulated Kingston spot pop in if you get a chance you will not be disappointed. If you wanna go for a diner for a few hours book before hand it's very popular and busy and have a amazing atmosphere. 10/10

And early Mother's Day gift from my daughter, this wasn't my first meal here and most certainly won't be my last. Despite being very busy, we enjoyed excellent service on the terrace overlooking the river, and a magnificent sharing platter of the German food we know and love well. All in all, a first class meal. Oh yes - the beer was perfect!!!

Fantastic bar restaurant. Great selection of German and Bavarian food and beers. The Weissbier was great. Great outside terrace where you can just watch boats going past on the Thames and people watch. A really nice ambience where you can chill and while away the hours. Friendly and efficient staff. Can't fault it !! Great job. Well done. I visit Kingston a lot and always drop in for a few hours .... And a few hours more.

Steins is more than a restaurant, it is an experience! Excellent food, responsible prices, exception staff and the opportunity to drink beer out of Das Boot is why this is my favourite restaurant in Kingston. There's just not enough good things I can say about this place!

Fantastic food, lovely staff and we managed to sit outside even though it wasn't as warm and sunny as it has been. This wasn't our first visit and it definitely won't be the last!

Simple decor with a touch of wood. Staff are welcoming and helpful. The food tastes good. You should try Sausage and meat. Juicy and tasty. The presentation of food is nice too. Good service.

If you like to drink beer with a great atmosphere, then this is a great place! Im not a beer drinker but my friends are and they love everything about the beer and the beer glasses- it’s very fun. I love to go for a drink here however the food is not amazing for me. Maybe it’s because I’m half German but for me I’ve had a lot better German cuisine although my non-German friends seem to love the food so I may be too critical.

Pork knuckle is awesome and is a perfect size for one. Would love to try their goulash, or other things for that matter, but they don't provide many starters. I can't not have the knuckle so I doubt I'll ever try anything else 😊 PS some good beer too.

Good choice of food at a great price (lunches are around £6 or so) and well there is beer. Love going here during the summer and it is a cool place.

Das Gut!. I came here four days in a row. The light lunches at £5.99 are great value and really good quality. Better to have less but more. ( But the portions were adequate unless your a pig). The Erdinger Weiss and Paulaner Dunkles on tap were delicious. Indoor and outdoor location overlooking the river. And the waiter/ess service was excellent. If you want to transport yourself to Mitteleuropa this is the place to come. You can come here just for a beer or two as it's also a bar unlike Richmond where you must order food. Avoid Richmond unless your a tourist or a family with children.

Great German Goods!. Steins in Kingston is one of those places you stumble across and wish you'd found it months earlier. Sat on the banks of the river Thames in Kingston its the perfect place to pull up for a few hours to enjoy some fine german sausage and a couple of beers. The staff are very knowledgable so let them point you in a tasty direction if you aren't sure of what to order.

Steins have a nifty app call Letyano which will give you a free beer in exchange for letting them know how their service was during your visit. Its really nice to get something back for your feedback for a change rather than the classic 'mystery prize draw' which no one ever wins!

I'd highly recommend Steins this time of year as its the perfect place to sit out with a cold beer and enjoy the evening sunshine!

Enjoyed a delicious goulash at Stein's, very tasty!  When I went there was an offer for a free beer too, if I filled out a survey (it was an app thing, called 'Letyano' - well worth a try if you pop in.

Was für eine fantastische Einrichtung! So refreshing to see a German restaurant, serving the most authentic food. The Currywurst was incredible, the Veal Schnitzel was lovely a crispy, the potato salad was unique but gorgeous (especially on a warm day). The mash and Sauerkraut were bloody delicious. To top this all off the service was incredible, even on a really busy summer day. Well impressed! 🫡🫡

Fantastic food and amazing staff. This was our first visit to this restaurant but most definitely wont be our last. Next time we plan to go when the weather is better so we can take advantage of the veranda and views over the Thames.

Super easy to get a walk in table. The service was attentive and fast. I wish you could mix and match some bits from the menu but the choice is great. We went for a platter for 2. We came out full. Totally worth it. The beers were also on point. Can't recommend enough

I've really started to warm up to the idea of drinking here more regularly - been to the Richmond one a few times but it's taken 6 years to try this one. I'm tired of a lot of the pubs in the area, while I've often rated them highly, the beer has become universally astronomical in price, that you may as well take the punt and spend £7 on a German number in proper glassware that's clean and served how it should be. Wash down that pretzel or giant pork Knuckle with a pint or stein of delicious cold frosty lager, table service by friendly staff, with a secluded river view raised away from the passers by. Dog friendly throughout, treats and water brought to our little one.

Staff are super friendly. We booked ahead for my birthday and were seated at our requested area out back so we could enjoy the sunlight and view of the Thames. The restaurant even decorated our tables with birthday bunting, which was a very nice touch. The German beers were amazing, and even more so served in their signature boots. Food was great too, well cooked and great portions, of typical Bavarian style.

Stein's in Kingston is a definite favourite for me. I always leave with a smile and, honestly, a bit of a belly ache (always totally my fault). You know that feeling you get when you are full to the brim but still want one more bite... this is where that feeling comes to die as you discover your second stomach and laugh in the face of recommended daily allowances. With beautiful scenic views overlooking the river, all the sausages you can eat and a litre of genuine bravarian wheat beer to wash it down (served in a boot if you like that kind of thing), why would you go anywhere else? Don't be a sausage. Come and try this absolute gem!

Authentic German dishes cooked with meats sourced from Germany . All cooked to perfection and served with good hearty German beers . Lovely and friendly staff . Can be a little expensive if you have all three courses ( if you have room hehe) as a mid week treat . but generous portions .

Hands down my favourite restaurant in Kingston! So great to see a German restaurant who does proper authentic food! Been coming here for years and had many many lovely meals out here… The restaurant itself is located by the river a little south of the main part of Kingston. The restaurant is also located right by the Rose Car Park so it’s easy to park close to the restaurant. The design of the restaurant is really homely and cozy, wooden panels and classic images from Germany, Austria and even Switzerland. Staff is very friendly and most even speak German, service is usually very good, though it can take longer when very busy, but this is understandable. The prices are fair as the portions are massive and German food anyway is filling, so you will leave the restaurant stuffed :) The food itself is truly delicious, authentic and a true taste of home. Nice big portions and quality ingredients. Proper German sausages and amazing beer, as to be expected. The desserts are also out of this world! Most people will go for a strudel but I would absolutely suggest the Kaiserschmarren… truly heaven on a plate, and once you try it you’ll want it again and again! All in all I will keep coming back here as much as I can, hands down one of my favourite restaurants!

This place was great! Authentic German restaurant with nice outlook over the river. Wait staff dressed accordingly and everyone was very welcoming. It’s very meat based (as would be expected) but they have some veggie/vegan options which my friends enjoyed. I had sausages, mash and sauerkraut which was yum! And of course all the beer and wine is German too. Recommend booking ahead as it gets busy - but we were luckily able to get a walk-in on a Saturday night. We were in the smoking area outside but no one was actually smoking. Tables are big and good for groups. Will be back!

We love Steins! The food, atmosphere and staff are spot on. Have been to Richmond and Kingston - will need to pay a visit to the London location soon. The mash is so creamy! The sausage cooked to perfection and the beer plentiful.

Excellent location adjacent to the river, helpful and friendly staff, authentic Bavarian/Austrian cuisine, I and my mother had the Wiener Schnitzel which was heavenly, wonderful German bier and a Black Forest Gateaux to die for, in the words of Graz's most famous son...'I'll be back'.

Exceedingly friendly service inside a cost restaurant/ bar serving import beers and good food to pair. I had the currywurst and my partner the municher sausages, we both agree we would have it again. The apple strudel was also good.

Fantastic food, as usual, lovely service and good beer. But nearly £90 for a 2 mains “Pork shoulder and Munich sausages “+ 3beers and 2 glasses of wine We understand rates of inflation are a bit high but we used to pay a lot less for what we had 🤷‍♂️ It's one of my favourite spots in Kingston 🙏
