Rayners (formally the star and garter), is the large impressive Victorian style community pub. A large L-shaped room with a separate room with a pool table. There is also a nice secluded courtyard beer garden. There is a wide choice of beers and lagers, sadly no cask conditioned hand pulled real Ale. On the plus side a nice pint of cream flow bitter is only two pound forty pence a pint must be the cheapest pint in Hull. A great pub with friendly staff. Highly recommended.

Went here to see a local play performed and had a brilliant night. Good wine and beers at very reasonable prices. Great atmosphere and very friendly, both the bar staff and regulars made us feel welcome. Will be back.

I went to Raynors for the first time to watch Fish and Leather. What a super local pub, the girl behind the bar was smiley, the landlady was warm and so welcoming and the locals seemed to enjoy having a few new faces in. The play was in the function room at the back and was transformed into a stage set. I'd like to go again for a pint and to look at all the history of the fishermen, the photographs some time. Thankyou for your hospitality and for being so welcoming x
