Could not recommend this place more if I tried, it's amazing! The food is perfect. So much variety and flavour. The staff are so genuine and polite, always checking if everything is okay and that their customers are satisfied. The lighting is lovely and the decor of the restaurant is stunning so overall the vibe is just wonderful. The whole experience is definitely worth the money, you will not regret going there!! A huge thank you to the staff who provided an excellent service to my friends and I. Keep up the great work!
Got the DIY curry kit and OMG best curry I've had in ages, we went for the buna lots of chicken and every thing else lol easy feed four people full of amazing flavour couldn't believe how easy it was defiantly an easy cook and impressed the wife winner all round . Would definitely recommend and go again well done 👏

The Crooked Skewer is delicious, they have a unique all you can eat around the world offer where you get world BBQ marinaded skewers and a selection of Indian inspired street food, curries and sides. You can order more of the curries and sides if you want but you get quite a lot anyway. If you do manage to eat all of the delicious mains, dessert is also included, which has an exciting twist. It's also incredibly reasonably priced normally costing £22.95 per person I think but currently they have a special deal Monday-Wednesday where you get £10 off and Thursday-Sunday you get £5 off. In addition to the amazing food, the setting and decor is really nice, they have custom tables with slots for the sauces, glasses and a box for cutlery and it all feels very covid safe with the tables being spaced apart. The serving staff were also very nice and accommodating. And as if this wasn't already enough, they also do takeaway and DIY kits which I definitely want to try. I would definitely recommend trying this place, I can't wait to go back!
Food is delicious, I think a lot of people are not realising its all you can eat meaning all curry's, rice, dips, sides etc can be ordered again. You try all the small bowls and then ask for more of the things you like, which is a brilliant idea to stop food waste.
The BBQ skewers cannot be ordered again for free however you can pay for more if you like however there is so much available in terms of curry, bread, noodles, rice and salad that I found it unnecessary to order much more than extra butter masala, bread and samosas (of which we probably nearly depleted the stock haha!)
Drinks prices are on pare with the rest of the venues on Princes Avenue which is fine, and there's a good selection available.

Amazing food @ The Crooked Skewer on Princess Ave. Probably the most delicious combination of flavours that we have tasted in a long time! This was on a Groupon and we were both somewhat dubious after reading some of the reviews last night🙈 Couldn't fault the food and will definitely go back again. Bonus too that the music was fantastic 👌
An absolutely outstanding dining experience. With the warmest of greetings from the most personable owner, we were quickly attended to. We were served the tasting menu, which was one of the best mix of dishes I've had in a long while. The ingredients had clearly been carefully thought out, creating a fantastic array of street food tastes. Though we could have asked for more, the portions were actually perfect. We can't wait to return with the rest of the family. Thank you so much Crooked Skewer.
Excellent food, service and value. We turned up off the cuff, not knowing what to expect and received a delightful surprise. A lovely environment, definitely worth a visit if you like a spicy meal. Loved it and will definitely be returning. 👌💖
Wow, what a fantastic place. The food was amazing, so much to eat for such a little price.
The staff were very friendly and the place looks great. I was even sat next to heater which was very welcome on this cold day.
So many flavours, everything cooked beautifully and you could tell the staff were very passionate about providing good food at the right price. Some exciting changes to come too apparently. We will definitely be back.

Lovely friendly people, the restaurant looks beautiful. Got my kit, drove home and got straight on with cooking. Beautiful absolutely amazing. Looking forward to taking another trip, when lock down lifted will become our go to Indian.

Just tried one of there curry kits can definitely recommend, very tasty plus you get loads for the amount they cost looking forward to tomorrow to finish it off its always that little bit more tasty i think the next day. Just been to The Crooked Skewer for tea. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. We had 4 different skewers and 4 different accompaniments between 2 of us, together with the bread selection. We couldn’t eat it all! Good value for money. We will definitely be returning 😋
Fantastic restaurant. Super friendly staff,especially Jamie. Loved the dry ice effect and food was plentiful and delicious. We will definitely be regulars here now and had a brilliant evening . Thank you Crooked Skewer we will be back.
We've been lucky enough to visit twice and each time it has exceeded our expectations. It is a really unique dining experience, the staff are incredibly welcoming and the owner can be seen socialising with customers and ensuring that their every need is taken care of. The food is amazing, lots of tasty meat from chicken to more exotic meats all cooked and seasoned perfectly. The sides we had were diverse, spicy noodles , rice pasta amongst other things along with a great selection of breads.
The bar selection is very good with good quality beers and cocktails which are definitely not lacking in flavour or alcoholic content (I found this out the hard way).
This is definitely the place to go in Hull, Great value and quality but even more important is the welcome from all of the staff and the fact that nothing is too much at all.
It's like going to someone's home and being treated like a valued guest
