Second time visit this evening with the husband and can not fault this pub lovely service by all staff members (with myself working in a pub environment I know it is always nice to make sure you make the guests smile) and good quality and good portion sized meals :) Also understanding on changing things on a dessert and desserts are lovely and yet again good portion size must say I will be visiting again . Also the vouchers on the email club you can't fault that either :)

Lovely food. Pleasant bar staff one the whole barring one baldish guy who kept up a conversation with other customers and ignored me. However a very pleasant and personable younger dark haired guy took my food order. Food itself was well cooked and flavoursome. All of the dishes were enjoyed. We would dine there again.
The Avenue is fantastic, I'm a regular visitor with my family and always enjoy it, friendly staff that cannot do enough for you, prices are good and my kids always get excited when we go

Great atmosphere especially Saturday night's. The new menu is really refreshing for a local pub. The pulled pork pizza is definitely worth a try.

The food was excellent, as a vegan I was amazed at the choices I had, I went for the Tapas and it was great. My husband had the gammon which he said was lovely.
We arrived in a 6.5 metre motor home and the landlord was so kind that he allowed us to stay overnight in the car park. It was quiet and we were very comfortable. I would definitely recommend this pub to everyone and we will absolutely be coming again.
Took my nephew for dinner and was very happy with the food. We had a mix grill and a Xmas pie. All well presented and seasoned. The mixed grill was fantastic and the pie was very generous with great mash and veg. Service was quick and efficient too. Restaurant quality in a friendly pub atmosphere
The Avenue is an excellent community pub. This former bass pub, has been modernised over the years. There is a comfortable front Lounge and a very smart back bar with darts and a pool table. There is an excellent choice of beers and lagers, with three cask conditioned hand pulled real ales, including a rotating guest beer which is a real plus as some pubs near here don't have any cask beer at all. The food menu and meal deals are excellent, the gammon egg & pineapple is a particular favourite. Very friendly staff, pub car park, not dog friendly, outside seating. It's very rare I give a pub a five-star rating but the quality of the beer makes it five. Highly recommended.

There are always at least two decent cask ales available here. Well worth a visit. It should be a candidate for inclusion in CAMRA's Good Beer Guide. The prices are very competitive too.
We enjoyed a fantastic family meal with seven of us yesterday evening at the Avenue. Fantastic food, great staff and brilliant service. We mostly ordered from the festive menu and the food was amazing. Many thanks to all of the staff involved

Lovely lunch today. Was going to go for the Philly Steak but had the 14oz steak instead. Absolutely lovely and would definitely be back and recommend.

Best place for steak. Been many places. This beats them hands down. Been here a few times now for steak only. Recommended to anyone. As update. Tried The old faithful burger with two grilled chicken burgers topped with bacon. American style cheesy slice and bbq sause. (Delicious, enjoyed every bite.) Hunters chicken nachos.( really nice flavours. Tasty. Got for two. Picture uploaded) and for pudding chocolate fudge cake with icecream and a caramel apple crumble with custard and ice cream. ( honestly i could eat 3 caramel apple crumbles). Complements to chef.
We went to see Venus there and the atmosphere was amazing. Drinks were very reasonably priced and they had a great selection on offer.
