Went for my mother in law's birthday and had a lovely meal. The only small thing is that although they served puddings until 9pm, they had ran out of the ones most of our party wanted. But the food we did receive was beautiful.

Booked a table here for a birthday meal. Menu varied with something for everybody. Average price is around £15 but meals coming out of the kitchen were massive and could easily feed 2 people. We opted for the Beef Stew and Dumplings and the King Prawn Creamy Pasta. Both were delicious and very very filling. There were desserts available but we had nowhere to put them! Wine is a sensible £14 a bottle. Venue itself was warm and clean and modern. When we finished our meal we took our drinks into the very comfortable Lounge. Highly recommended and we will become more frequent visitors.

We didn't eat, so can't star the food. Though it looks very good, our first visit to the Lodge. Very impressed, staff excellent, very friendly and efficient. Good selection of drinks and a very pleasant open area to the rear of the restaurant, overlooking the golf course...well done, we shall be back very soon

Went to The Lodge for a gig, My favourite band called The Shine was playing was the first time we had ever been to this place 6 of us attended for the band, We ordered food at half 7 was cutting it close, and stopped serving food at 19:45 pm, something I didn't understand But nonless food was absolutely fantastic. I had a bbq chicken & Bacon melt burger with homemade chips, which gorgeous I also tried some cocktails starting with The Grinch, a Christmas special £9 was a bit pricey, but tastes so good I had a couple after that moved onto a classic Disarano and coke to enjoy the concert with, Staff seemed friendly enough Would happily go again for another event

Lovely food, portions a little too big. Nice friendly server. My one complaint would be that there were 2 extremely high steps to access the building, and no hand rail.

We booked here for a 40th birthday meal with 20 people, they was very friendly over the phone and accommodating, they did ask if we could make a list of the food that the 20 people wanted of the menu, which we did and took the list in a couple of days before, we was able to go in earlier to put up a few banners and balloons as the tables where ready, very cheerful staff, when everyone had arrived we let the staff know for the chef, in a short time all the food was quickly served with everything right, all the guests were very complimentary about the food, there is a good selection of drinks, also a view onto the golf course. I will definitely be going again and would like to give a big thank you to all the staff.

Enjoyed our time at the lodge. The food was amazing as usual.Had to ask a few times for things like menu, didn't really get any information when we got there. But staff were helpful when we did ask. Definitely recommend.

What a nice place, there's an outside area plus a large area they use for functions plus another smaller seating area. The waitresses were very nice and got us seated quickly enough. They had several specials up on boards including desserts. There's only a couple of John Smiths beers on tap and the usual ciders & lagers . We didn't have starters as we saw several plates of food go out heaped right up. So we ordered chicken kieves (wife & daughter) and I had mixed grill. I got a botyle of house sauv which was 12 quid. We had ootion of fries or home made chips, we obvs had home made. Well the food came out and was fab. I had large onion rings in a fine light batter, a 10oz med rare steak, spicy sausage, cajun chicken breast a Heap of nicely cooked veg and the hm chips. The girls' chicken Kiev was huge, coated in golden crumbs and a generous amount of garlic butter on top. The chicken was very juicy but not greasy at all. All meals were packed with flavour and all well seasoned. We asked the manager about the food, specifically the kievs, if bought in to which he lsughed and said no, all our food is home made. Top marks to the chef Brian, he did a fantastic job. The manager also said it's best to book Friday and Saturday's as gets busy. There's a large bar in the main area and a smaller one where we were. Plenty of parking as you cut through one car park to get to the pub as it's set back from the main road. The three meals, beer, Martini and bottle of wine came in at just under 20 quid each. Out of interest, one day during the week they do an over 55's club with live music and snacks which is a great idea to socialise safely. We will definitely be back. Fantastic.

The main meals were very good the beef was cooked to perfection. The only problem was the dessert Eton mess had no strawberries just strawberry sauce in it and the pieces meringue were to big. The size of the pudding for £5 was to small, which had there been strawberries in I may of over looked.
