The original wine bar on Princes Ave which is still the best. Great for a pre-match #hcafc bite and a beer

Visited with my daughters for my pre-match lunch and to meet friends. Great atmosphere and enjoyed our food and some excellent beer. I follow my team Stoke up and down the land in an unofficial role as "pub finder". This is a welcome addition to the list and my fellow supporters were happy!

I've always liked Pave, I remember it opening. It's an easy going place, with a decent selection of drinks. It's not the most plush of pubs but not a dive at all, because of this, it keeps it to a nice atmosphere where you can have a drink and a chat with companions. I've only marked it down for the atmosphere because it was very quiet when we visited. In short, nice pub. I hope it carries on for years to come.

Popped in for 1 on a Sunday evening just before the last orders at 9 pm. The staff were welcoming, and the dog was allowed inside. They also provided a bowl of water.

I've been going here for many years but tonight I was blown away by their amazing service and compassion. We were the last to leave and my gf was a little worse for ware. The 3 young staff were lovely and so kind to book us a taxi and let us remain in the venue until it arrived. Absolutely above and beyond the level of service expected...especially the young girl with glasses. So nice to us and a credit to the establishment and the community vibe on Princes av which is unmatched anywhere in the city.

Hull's original and best cafe bar. No longer serving food unfortunately but always has a good selection of well kept ales. Relaxed and mixed clientele

Went for lunch last Sunday. Menu is thorough and has a large selection of vegetarian options. I had the house burger with blue cheese which was great- my brother had a vegetarian platter which looked amazing. Prices are on par for the area (nearly £5 for a pint of Brooklyn was a bit of an eye opener but to be expected). Large beer garden in the rear which was useful as the live music was not exactly to my taste and pretty loud when attempting to eat and chat... Pave is the original 'bar' on Princes Avenue so if you want to see how it all began then it's worth a visit... Just don't expect much change from a round of drinks.

Always a good choice whether you fancy and beer, a meal or a coffee. The food was always excellent here but I have been for a meal in years so cannot comment. What I will say is, that it’s been one of Hulls consistently good bars and always has a great atmosphere. There’s a massive selection of beers, ales, ciders from around the world on tab and in the fridges. They sometimes have artists playing chilled jazz or blues on a Sunday too.

Great atmosphere this afternoon to see the fabulous Ragpickers with extra special guest Frankie from Mambo Jambo. Lovely place to spend a wet Sunday November afternoon.

Long standing establishment with a wonderful airy atmosphere, original features and really good service. Wide range of beers and spirits. Only had drinks today but food is also very good. Highly recommend.

So pave is a bit of an unusual spot, it's a very busy place, usually has music acts on during the week, and has its own back garden for smoking and drinking, the only 2 issues that I can honestly say, is that they don't have enough seats, plenty of tables, but we always end up having to ask to take someone else's, and the toilets could do with cleaning more often, aside from that, it's a busy and full of life place, never had any issues with staff or patrons that go in

Very very quiet on Thursday evening. Seems that many bars close early, so it was a poor atmosphere. Lovely poured beer and a great selection on tap.
