Been here three times and the food has been consistently excellent. The steak special nights are particularly good value with a free bottle of wine which you can take home if you like. The sea bass is highly recommended. It is a bit of an enigma as it is clearly a cafe but the food is restaurant quality. Staff attentive and friendly. Will definitely be back.

Thank you to all the staff at The Village Green Cafe Bar for looking after Run Kingswood Run tonight. 42 people from Run Kingswood Run attended their first social event of 2018 to celebrate the graduation of C25K at TVGCB. The food was delicious, great atmosphere, staff were fantastic, kitchen staff were very friendly and overall, we had a fabulous evening. Thank you

Very good quality food, and a great variety of choice of starters, mains desserts etc. Drinks are reasonably priced and a pleasure to drink (inside or sat outside). Staff are on the ball and polite and courteous. Nothing not to like about the place !!

Thank you so much for accomodating 20 of us last night for a 30th birthday, from start to finish everyone enjoyed it. The food all came out at once and was piping hot. Everyone said how lovely the food was and reasonably priced too. Thanks to the gentleman who served us too, nothing was too much. We are in Village Green quite often and have to say the food was amazing as always x

We were there for my sister’s 50th Birthday meal yesterday and it was a great night. Fabulous food, came out quickly and was tasty and hot. Great service and nobody was flustered given the size of the table. Well done to the chefs, waiting and bar staff on a wonderful evening. You did my sister proud.

Really lovely food with big portion sizes. Visited on a mid week evening with 2 friends and we all enjoyed our meals and food choices. The restaurant was full @ 6.30pm..an equal mix of families, couples and friend groups - so the noise levels were a bit high at first, but that receded after about an hour as some family tables departed. A licenced bar which has well priced drinks and we also had free water with our meals. Counter service so easy to self serve when ready to order. Food came reasonably quickly and was hot. Will visit again but maybe choose a later time into the evening for a more romantic and quieter atmosphere if with my partner.

We went for afternoon tea, a lively selection of finger sandwiches, savoury bits and desserts. The place was lovely and clean with a good atmosphere and friendly staff. It was busy so I'm glad we had booked a table. The only reason I can't give it 5 stars is personal preference, the only had the option of whole milk for hot beverages which for me is a no no. The cream for the scones was whipped and not clotted like I had presumed. Not their fault. My own but would have made afternoon tea perfect. The savoury bits amd finger sandwiches where delicious, especially the sausage roll as it was still warm, dessert wise the scone was also still warm which was amazing! Highly recommend for someone who isn't as picky as me but that being said I would still visit again 🤣

Ladies that lunch enjoyed ourselves very much here. Good hot meals with a lovely choice to choose from and not any bother to add to. Ladies enjoyed their wine. Friendly staff.

Went for food on the 4th march and got to say it was beautiful. Been quite a few times and it never disappoints. This time I had a burger( can't remember the name) but it was lovely although I did have a bit of food envy when I saw the wife's seabass. It looked amazing and the prawn I nicked was lovely. We would have had the steak night deal with wine but I was driving. Overall a great place that I highly recommend

I like this establishment and have never been disappointed. There is plenty of parking and tables outside if the weather is good. We went in one evening in July. It is clearly popular and it may be wise to reserve a table. The service is welcoming, cheerful and efficient. The food is brought to your table. We had tea which comes in big pots and is hot. We only wanted a sweet and those on offer at £4.95 were attractively presented and tasty. Good value! I can certainly recommend the salted caramel cheesecake with ice cream and mixed fruit and my daughter enjoyed her chocolate fudge cake. The menu is extensive with a section for children and is suitable for vegetarians. It does not provide fine dining but what you get is very enjoyable and reasonably priced. I have heard very good reports of and intend to return to sample both the afternoon tea and pie evenings.

Very nice food good choice on the menu. Not long to wait for food to arrive. Staff was pleasant however did feel once we had finished eating wanted us to vacate the table.

First time having a meal in The Village Green, from ordering to receiving our food, couldn't fault it, you definitely get your monies worth, I ordered steak and Ale pie with mash and peas absolutely tasty, my partner ordered a burger and again value for money, definitely would go back.
