Went here for a late lunch with the wife and friends. We were 6 and they accommodated us even with no reservation. You can order online thru a QR Code in the table, but still, the server was very kind and helpful, and assisted us. The ambience of the place was really astonishing. Food was amazing! Portions were massive, and the taste was spot on. Definitely worth every penny. Will be coming back for sure!
Beautiful atmosphere here, comfortable and I received a warm welcome.
Veggie breakfast was fab, the crispiest hash browns ever, tasty sausages and the mushrooms (which I'd usually avoid) were oddly enjoyable too.
The hot chocolate was fabulous and though reluctant to choose oat milk, it was the best oat milk hot choc I've ever had.. I'd 1000% recommend
Amazing breakfast... everything exactly as you want it and service fantastic. Sat on the top floor near the window and log fire. Definitely recommend a visit and we will most definitely be going back!
Really enjoyed my visit to McCoys. Staff were really nice and made you feel comfortable and welcome.
Food didn't just look amazing but tasted delicious and so glad I came here instead of having a terrible Premier Inn breakfast, and for a couple of quid more you get pure quality here at McCoys!
If I was being picky ... my only complaint would be that the hot chocolate came with alot of cream and after removing the cream there was not much hot chocolate left.
Will return to this establishment at a drop of a hat if I'm ever visiting Hull again!
Visited here with my wife and sister in law for my birthday.
Booked a table for lunch in advance as it's usually busy.
Very easy to place an order. The staff are wonderful, very friendly and helpful.
The food came quickly and was hot and tasty.
Excellent value for money.
Will definitely visit again.
Lovely breakfast today. Lovely service with a smile. Nice coffee. Clean and tidy. I don't understand why some idiot would write about inexperienced teenagers because let's face it we all had to start from somewhere ....I had no problem with the staff whatsoever. Infact very Lovely and helpful. I highly recommend and I will be going back
I always make an effort to eat at McCoys when in the city centre as I find the food to be of great quality! Staff were very friendly on my visit today. The Eggs Benedict with Salmon was delicious and really flavourful.
I haven’t been to McCoys for about 7 years as I used to find the service was slow and the food wasn’t worth the money, but I visited today and was really pleasantly surprised. The menu has improved so much and is really varied, and the service was excellent. We were in quite a big group and several people ordered burgers which we were told would take some time but everything arrived quickly! Prices are still quite high for a lunch time cafe kind of vibe, but the food is excellent and the portions are huge so very much justified. I won’t leave it so long to visit again next time :)
Absolutely phenomenal food, I go for breakfast here with friends whenever I'm in Hull. I get the Yorkshire Veggie breakfast which comes with bubble and squeak 👌 also the halloumi burger is in a league of its own. Lots to choose from and they also do a great range of iced tea which is my fave!
We've eaten here quite a few times, quite busy, a historic and popular place with views over Princes Quay. Also an outside (with heaters) seating next to the Quay. Nice sharing and individual plates. Lovely range of hot, cold, soft and alcoholic drinks.
Went for my birthday with family and were given a window seat so we could watch part of the Hull Art installation Light Show (see photos).
Child and autistic friendly.
Veggies, Vegans and Carnivores - all catered for!
Accessibility - this is a historical building and so mixed, there is a small seated area on the ground floor, a few steps in and to the loos.
Car Park - the nearest is a pay across in Princes Quays
Staff - work hard, friendly and professional
Toilets - up a few steps and along corridors

Fantastic experience, the staff were really helpful and accommodating with a gluten free and dairy allergy. They made us feel confident and had a wide range of available options. The food itself was delicious and far far better when we could have imagined, we will definitely be back again!
Pleasant and friendly staff. Easy to order food on the app but staff made it clear that we didn't have to use the app and could order in person. Premises are nice and clean
Lovely outdoor area, protected from tge slight breeze , sun trap. Excellent friendly quick service but not hurried , thankfully. Tasty food and drinks . Starter of garlic mushrooms , crispy and tasty. Trio of fish cakes with wedges , choice of dips . Darren had big Yorkshire breakfast with 3 of everything inc toast 👌
Really cute place with great decor. Although there are options for how you order, I felt the service was still very slow- which is a bit of a let down. However the staff are friendly. Food' was nice, but for me cooked in an oil which I don't like so not my favourite- however my oh thought it was lovely.
Had breakfast there twice now, have to say I was not dissatisfied at all. The food was perfect and the portions were ample. The social distancing and safety methods were excellent and I felt really confidant in the environment. Well done, definately recommended.
The image of the flat bread serve does not do it justice. Falafel and hummus with salad in, served with chips and coleslaw. My fridn bought the meat lasagna and the cheesy garlic bread. We could not believe how amazing the food was. All so fresh. Staff are great, very helpful and tidy. Work well on their own and together. The area is a polite part of Hull, you're sitting along the Dock where the fishermen used to come in and anchor down. The museum viewing out onto the dock has a window where the "head guy" so to speak would sit, at the window, watching the boats coming in. (Do not judge me on the word head guy haha history is not the reason I am here 😂). I'm not sure about the men's toilets, but the walk to the ladies is very nice. Mcoys building itself is very prehistoric. This area helps make Hull beautiful again.
