A very big thank you to Helen, Gemma and all the lovely Spotted Duck girls for an amazing buffet delivered to our Westfield lodge for my wife's birthday celebrations with family. I can also recommend the breakfasts and meals which are all home made/prepared and the cakes are quite simply the best I have ever eaten ... Well worth a visit 10/10 x
Enjoyed our breakfast, scrambled eggs and salmon on toast, hubby had huge baguette with sausages and eggs, great value and staff very friendly. Popped my head into the kitchen to nosy at the afternoon tea the staff were making for a customer, it looked amazing! Will be back for one of those! Noticed that they have a Slimming world menu as well which I'm very pleased about.
Lovely Lunch out with my mum!
High Tea was plentiful and my coronation chicken sandwich was really tasty! Would recommend to all and we will be visiting again-there's a a lot of choice on the menu too!
Definitely worth a visit when having a drive out in the countryside.
lovely afternoon with my sister and our granddaughters who are six and seven. We had afternoon tea and the girls loved it. really recommend it, the staff are lovely. When Amelia lost the huge ice-cream off her cone they just got her another. definitely recommend the Spotted Duck and will be going again.
Having been on several occasions, we decided this would be an ideal place for the family get together for Mum's 90th birthday celebrations. What a fabulous decision, the staff were attentive, the food was superb, and the location was deemed a hit by members of the family who had never been, and we felt like we were at home xx Thank You.
Lovely place.Pleasant surroundings good food and friendly helpful staff,Highly recommend it !
Went for the afternoon tea on Saturday was really nice and the staff were very friendly would defiantly recommend looking forward to going again some time
Both myself and partner John had an evening meal consisting of two courses. The staff were very friendly and efficient. Our first being Brie wedges with cranberry, which were excellent and plentiful. Both of us then had chicken sizzler, with a choice of sauce, which we both found delicious. We would definitely return.
This was our first visit to The Spotted Duck, always heard good reports but we had never been.
The conservatory was closed off for a private function so the dining area was smaller than usual but we managed to get a seat with no problems. The staff were very friendly and prompt in serving us, my wife and I both had a breakfast which was of a very good quality and well cooked and a pot of tea for two. The cakes looked great but we couldn't manage one so instead we bought something to take home. The Bakewell was very good indeed, suffice to say that we will be back.
Such a wonderful, friendly place to go for breakfast, lunch or cake and tea. My whole family love it, particularly my 4 year old x
Our first time at the Spotted Duck for afternoon tea and it certainly won't be our last. Staff are very friendly and the afternoon tea very tasty with home made scones and cakes. Tea and coffee refilled when needed. I will be recommending here to family and friends and would like to try menu for lunch on our next return. Thank you for a lovely afternoon.
The spotted duck is not only lovely for its tea and cake but also for private functions as well we have had a few there now as always brilliant time had by all
Took my husband for Afternoon Tea, lovely place and the food was gorgeous and the staff are so friendly I would definately recommend it and its on my list to go back very soon

Great Afternoon. The tomato soup was fantastic and the selection of cakes was even better.Staff friendly and welcoming we will definitely be going back there again.
The food was amazing and the staff were lovely first time there will definitely be going back
Visited here while staying at the Westfield Park, had an excellent evening meal good value for money. Friendly and attentive staff. Also sampled their cakes the lemon victoria cake was delicious. Will definitely return when we are next in the area.
Cannot recommend this place enough!
From booking a table to leaving with boxes of treats - the Spotted Duck is highly recommended.
The lovely and friendly team made our afternoon tea experience enjoyable and relaxing.
No problem finding with SatNav, plenty of car parking spaces, great communication with regards to adapting for dietary requirements, an abundance of tea and delicious cakes, a calm and quiet environment, indoor and outdoor seating, and we left with a few treats.
Very good price for the standard of food and service.
Many thanks again, Spotted Duck team.
This lovely tea room is well worth wandering off your usual route for. A modern building with access for prams and wheelchairs. Warm, tidy, and inviting you won't find this on the high street. A good range of options on the menu. Delicious home made cakes, and a fabulous range of tea and coffee.
Very popular, we rung ahead for a table. Greeted warmley, simple menu plenty of choice, even gluten free cake. Service, food and drink excellent value for your money. And given information about the lakes you can walk around. Highly recommend and sure to visit again.
We came for afternoon tea and it was absolutely delicious, a fantastic selection of sandwiches, quiche, sausage rolls, crisps and a lot of buns. The service was second to none and all of the staff, especially Ian were very attentive and amiable.
This cafe was a regular place for my husband and myself, always great food and friendly staff. They did outside catering for his 70th Birthday and he enjoyed his 75th Birthday at the cafe in August. It was only appropriate that Helen and staff catered for his wake when he passed away in November. He would have loved the wonderful send off with all his family and friends together. Helen and the staff really did him proud and have my grateful thanks for making a sad occasion bearable. Pam Jackson
I had a nice time visiting with my parents. We ordered tea and sandwiches and they came out pretty fast and it was presented with a lot of care put into the little details.
I got a tuna melt panini with salad and coleslaw that cost around 11.95 (I'm not sure exactly, maybe less). It was made with simple good quality ingredients, they didn't skimp on the fillings either! It was a decent size panini and I was stuffed after eating it, we all ended up not needing a big dinner in the evening.
They were well organised and I'm confident their other menu items would be just as good. The cakes and pastries had that slightly wonky handmade look so there's no doubt they were all made from scratch. I'll definitely go again next time I'm in the area!
Just got home after having afternoon tea with my lovely friend, food was lovely, staff very welcoming and service was very quick, highly recomend a visit
We had a great experience today , the food and staff were absolutely great , our visit today will be the first of many visits to the spotted duck , hope everyone supports the new people the new people running the venture , it was great .
Fantastic place! They go the extra mile for you and produced two separate afternoon teas for my friend who has an allergy to cheese and myself who is lactose intolerant . Fresh and excellent service and quality food in a lovely setting. Refreshing fruit teas served and alcohol if you want it. Would definitely recommend..😁😁
Friendly staff. 100% value fur money. Considering they have a market as there’s not much nearby they could increase their prices. Returned twice and will be returning tomorrow for breakfast as a stroll away from Green Meadow lodges. Felt very welcome. We didn’t have lunch but saw others that did including afternoon teas. Great portions. A great find.
