Had a great experience dining at the restaurant. Tried Kobdeih on the recommendation of the staff. Cooked to perfection and piping hot.
It smelled so fresh. Loved it! Will come again and highly recommend.
First visit today, what can I say? The owner was so attentive and spent the time to explain the menu and even offered a taster of one of the meze dishes.

We ordered mixed kebab and ghorme sabzi. They were both amazing. It tasted exactly like Home. There were also torshi, yoghurt and shirazi salad and kashk bademjoon and everything was great.
The atmosphere is lovely and romantic.
Visited The Persian before the huge game between Hull City and the mighty Ipswich Town.
The Owner was really friendly and offered to guide us through the Menu. The food itself was fantastic. Really good quality and for a reasonable price.
Will definitely return next time I'm in Hull.

Cannot be MORE pleased with our visit to The Persian. They really went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and appreciated. I found this place when searching for a restaurant with suitable gluten-free options. Very helpfully they state in the menu they are majority gluten free, and can accommodate changing the flatbread to a gluten free option. We enjoyed the set menu for 2, and the fried potatoes in place of the flatbre

Lovely, cosy restaurant. Food was outstanding, probably some of the best food we have eaten in Hull. Divine hummus and kebab meats. So happy to have discovered it. We will return soon!

Excellent restaurant, very friendly and welcoming, the bread was fluffy, starters were very tasty and main course mixed kebab was amazing 👏. Very small restraunt , tight sitting , slow service . But food was okay , not too authentic but still good. Spicy sauce was good heat to the food.
Lamb was not well done ( maybe need to specify with the order ) rice and curries were good .

Used to be a regular with the old owner until he hit some trouble with quality. Was slow to return , but the new ownership has certainly made it even better , the lamb bhandari is better than any lamb curry in this region ( I am Indian ) - fantastic
Fantastic food! Delicious koobideh, mixed grill, amazing saffron rice, and faloodeh! Gorgeous food, friendly and lovely staff. Highly recommend!
