Fish and chips cooked to order in a wooden shack yards from the sea, melt in the mouth batter and well cooked chips, what more could you want. Outdoor eating area with spectacular views of challaborough bay.

We had a meal here whilst staying on holiday and it was excellent from the word go. The waitress was lovely and attentive. The meal was tasty with good portions. We also went into the takeaway part a few times over the 10 days we stayed there and absolutely no faults with any of the food. My kids loved the chicken nuggets, I loved the scampi, and we all thought the chips were the best chips we've ever had. I can't wait to return next year!

The best fish shack you will find in Devon. Been here many times and have never had a bad experience. Food is amazing and don't be afraid to have a laugh with the cook (Steve I think).

Great little chippy in a ticked away location. Beautiful scenic setting right in the beach front. Pub is next door. The guy who runs it is friendly. Seating area is available. Lovely to sit and eat and watch the sea. If like us, your at a local camp site and just too tired to caml cook.. This place is perfect.

We stayed opposite fryers tuck and got to meet with Steve. Fantastic gentleman, made us some of the best fish & chips we've ever had. Highly recommend the food and service you receive from Steve. Looking forward to going back to Bigbury-on-Sea and having fish & chips.

Wandered into this this little gem during a Father's Day bimble across the wonderful scenery of the South Hams'. Whilst on first appearance, it's all a bit spit and sawdust in the takeaway gaff itself, the staff were friendly and polite. I ordered a delicious fish and chips and because it was father's day extra cheesy chips with lashings and lashings of vinegar. Fish was amazeballs and cheesy chips actually had more cheese than chips ..... Much to the happiness of all - including the dog!! Amazing views and right next to the life guard's hut just in case that the diet of fatty food and cholesterol laden cheese results in a sudden need for medical assistance. Great customer service and totes view. What's not to like?

Had a lovely portion of fish and chips. Got talking to the owner (and chef) Steve who has been running the place for 23 years. He also gave us some advice on where to go in the local area for things to do. We'll be coming back for the seafood platter and ribs in a couple of days time!

What a lovely place to have your fish and chips. Amazing view! Paid more for a better wine. It was well worth it. The waiter really looked after us and it was so welcoming that owner/ chef came out to talk to us at the end of our meal. It was a lovely evening walk there and back from Bigbury on sea Thank you and hope to come back soon!
