Absolutely outstanding place!!! 😊 We'd been at a festival all week and were just passing through the village but with zero notice they managed to fit me and the dog in even though they were fully booked. It was one of the best roast beef dinners I've ever had! Top notch highly recommended! 😊👌🏼

As tourists in the area we called on the off chance we could get a meal. They were very busy but accommodated us. It is a lovely old pub, complimented by excellent drinks, food & service & highly recommended

Good location, friendly staff and great food, what's not to like?! The rooms were very nice (we stayed in room 3) the landlord and bar staff were very welcoming and a mine of information. We really enjoyed our stay and will be back again.
Visited with my husband on Thursday for a meal. We both had fish and chips, the service was so quick we were waiting less than 15 minutes for our food! Staff were really friendly and attentive. Will definitely be back!

We stumbled across this pub whilst on holiday and it was amazing. The staff are excellent and really made us feel welcome. We have a dog who was immediately given treats and we were placed on a table in the main bar but away from other dogs.

Absolutely lovely place to stay. The staff were all so welcoming and friendly. One lovely lady even offered to cook us some food after the kitchen had closed. Surroundings are steeped in history and fascinating. Would thoroughly recommend.

We stayed for 2 nights in there beautiful rooms and woke up to a beautiful breakfast. I would definitely recommend this venue.
