we had a fantastic meal last night, the sea food platter was excellent, followed by scallops, and sea bass, food was first class and good sized portions along with good friendly service.

Had a lovely Fathers Day lunch here. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Food was delicious. We had the Sea Food sharing platter and Sunday roast. Very nice! My dog was very welcome in the pub and treated to gravy bones by the staff whilst we dined. Kingsand is a beautiful fishing village and our stop at the Halfway House really made our stay all the more memorable. Will be visiting again for sure!

Lovely big, pub grub, portions. Very accommodating of my wife's dairy intolerance and the food was of a good quality. Decent beer and very friendly staff. A good atmosphere with occassional live music. Would recommend!

A wonderful place, the building oozes history. This adds charm and quirkiness to the place. The room is very well furnished and fits in well to an old building where no wall or floor is straight. The staff are very friendly and helpful, even when the place is extremely busy. The food is good quality and very reasonably priced for the generous size of the portions. Close to all the facilities is a great bonus. I would highly recommend seeking out this fantastic location.

A nice Kingsand pub. The sing-along with the Rame male voice choir is quite jolly. My only slight criticism is the timing of the breakfast. Certainly in Australia (where I'm from) 9.00 am as the earliest (and only) time to have breakfast would be unheard of. But even in UK it seems too late for holidaymakers to make the most of their day in South East Cornwall or to travel back to their homes at the end of their stay or (as in my case) to make a doctor's appointment in Millbrook at 10.00 am. Personally, I really think a 8.00-9.00 am breakfast "window" would keep a lot of guests a lot happier. Otherwise, a great place to stay

Had a beautiful coastal walk from Whitsand bay to Cawsand and visited this fab place for food and drinks. The food was fantastic; generous portions and very tasty. My partner had a sea food platter and I had the ploughman’s - both were delicious! Staff were extremely welcoming and attentive, even made a fuss of our dogs , which was lovely. Thanks for making our visit special !

We had a family meet up here, 3 nights with dogs , had a wonderful time. Staff were kind and friendly. Food was good pub grub. Rooms were perfectly serviceable, not luxury but just what we wanted. The villages are so pretty and since we holidayed here as children , it was a really happy stay.

At £14.95 for fish, chips and peas I expected a little more than frozen chips. Having said that the service was friendly and prompt and the cleanliness exceptional.

On a coastal path walk with my Grandchildren. We have arrived in Kingsand/Cawsand but its 2.30 and either pubs are closed or stopped serving!! Step up The Halfway House Inn!! Just wanted a snack so it was perfect with bowls of chips and garlic bread. Really nice decor, lovely staff and Landlord.....and an open fire!! Huge great bowls of excellent chips and really tasty garlic bread. And 2 pints of Jail ale....perfect. Thanks for saving our day. We will be back. And this pub will be first on our list....

Last minute booking and the staffing could not do enough, really friendly and helpful. The breakfast was superb and I cannot fault it, even my wife and she's fussy. I would definitely visit again even though I'm from Plymouth and it's very close, we used it for a night as we were at a wedding at a nearby Fort.
