Don't judge this place by the garden.. All the energy has gone into the food and service. I had the Thai veg curry for lunch. It was superb, proper sized veg, marinated in the the base coconut curry to perfection. Soft but not soggy. The spring rolls were very fresh and packed with veg. 10 out of 1
Went for lunch with my Mum and from start to finish it was a really great dining experience. The staff were really friendly and welcoming, pub was clean and tidy and had a great range of drinks, alcoholic and non-alcoholic. We took our dog with us and he was made to feel just as welcome as the human
We went for lunch on a Friday, absolutely delicious. The new Asian menu is brilliant. Had really good salt and pepper squid and the Malaysian chicken curry was superb. Really warm and lovely service too, thank you!
Pub owned by a lovely Polish family. Beautiful interior. Had Sunday veggie roast that was lovely and not a nut roast, only thing I would suggest is that veggie roast seemed a bit smaller than its meat counterparts. Would definitely go again if I get the opportunity.
Delicious recipes in the best company ever. friendly, very attentive, excellent service and very competitive prices. I felt at home, not only because of the service, but also because of the facilities. very highly recommended!
We came in for a midweek lunch and we were so impressed with the food. You can tell this is all cooked fresh to order, portions sizes are plenty and there are different dishes you won't find in your usual chain pubs. The young lady that was serving was also brilliant, nothing was too much, we can't
A lovely find. Pub dates back over 400 years. The food was of traditional English fayre. Turn left to the restaurant which is waiter service. Right through the door to the pub. We will definitely go back.
We have just enjoyed a wonderful lunch here. I had roast salmon with asparagus and beetroot aloili and my husband had a very delicious haddock and chips. I wish we had taken pictures! For dessert my husband had chocolate brownie, and I chocolate orange 🍊 ice cream, also very yummy 😋. This pub has a
Went for an early dinner yesterday with a friend. Staff were lovely and friendly. We both ordered salmon with garlic mash and beetroot alioli. OMG it was amazing, cooked to perfection, and flavours together went well. Would have given five stars but the wines were much dearer than other pubs, so w
Tasty food, sunday roasts are fantastic Great hospitality, owner is very warm and friendly Will be returning!
I understand the pub is under new management and is now called 'The Paddock'. The landlady was very charming and couldn't do enough to please us. I had the burger (as I rarely have them at home), it was fantastic, juicy, well cooked and seasoned. The chips and salad were also spot on, good value t
Had a selection of the Thai starters and they were all delicious! Excellent service too, brilliant pub!
Great Sunday roast and lovely staff. Menu is a little limited (ie only Sunday roasts for mains), but they did that really well.
We booked for Christmas Day, they were friendly staff and met the lovely new manager. Food was perfect and our veggie options enjoyed. Will definitely be back.
The old adage praise when praise is due, which is derived from a true memorable experience is awarded to The Chipperfied Boot ( not mistaken from the Boot Sarratt) Sunday roast was exceptional. A family of four had 3 x roast beef and 1 x child’s roast chicken. The roast beef was superbly cooked to p
Great pub, working its way back to how it was in the past. Definitely worth a visit
