To Karen and all her staff, Stephen and I would like to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for all your help and hard work to make our wedding breakfast so very special, the room literally took ours and our guests breath away, it was stunning. The food was absolutely delicious, and the attentiveness of the waiting staff was second to none...... then the addition of the garden on such a lovely day just finished it off perfectly. The Ship you were fantastic every single one of you. Thank you from Mr and Mrs King

Lovely food, friendly staff, lovely decor. Been a few times with girls from work, food always been delicious, wouldn't recommend the house wine by the glass but that's my personal preference. Would definitely recommend to friends

Any restaurant that doesn’t have a kids menu gets a big thumbs up from me. Here they can have half portions of the adult main course menu. My 2 shared a pate starter and then enjoyed chicken, tiger prawns, chorizo and peppers with sweet chilli glaze and lasagne with garlic bread and chips instead of the usual nuggets, pizza or sausages. Both gave a big thumbs up. My smoked salmon and avocado starter followed by seabass was lovely. The adults were full but the kids declared the pavlova and salted caramel chocolate pot to be delicious! Lovely evening and the service was friendly and attentive

My husband and I were lucky enough to win the Valentines competition for a 3 course meal and bottle of fizz. It was a great way to spend our first valentines as a married couple. The food and service were both absolutely excellent and we can’t wait for our next visit. I would definitely recommend so please do not hesitate to try!!!

We just enjoyed our second, lovely meal at The Ship. The food represents Scotland's bounty in a subtle and really approachable way; the staff couldn't be nicer, the chef takes great pride in each dish ( we ordered almost everything on the menu so we could sample and share ) and more than one person at our table agreed that the house made pate was the best they'd ever had. A lovely stop on any tour of the Fife coast... we will continue to put it on our calendar and look forward to our next visit.

There are not enough words to say how thankful we are to Karen, Adam and all the staff at the Ship for giving us the most beautiful and perfect wedding on Saturday. The entire venue was stunning and the amount of work and effort that went in from the entire team was incredible. All the rooms and gardens were beautiful, the food was delicious and the staff were all amazing and couldn't have done anymore for Craig, myself and every single one of our guests. The preparation that went in from our first meeting right through to the end was fantastic and went above and beyond our expectations. What an amazing team. Thank you so much we couldn't have hoped for a better day

Fabulous 3-course meal at The Ship this evening 😋 Haggis & black pudding bon bons were so good as were the king prawns in garlic butter. For mains, we had the fish & chips and daube of beef. The fish was beautifully fresh & crispy batter (breaded is also available), and the beef was so melt-in-the-mouth tender. Good-sized portions. Pudding we had apple crumble & custard, and the trio of mini puddings. Both fabulous, and so tasty. Service was friendly and not overbearing. Meals were served hot, on hot plates, with a reasonable gap between courses. Best of all under £70 including soft drinks. We will definitely be back.

Food fantastic, everything ordered was cooked to perfection. Welcoming staff even though we were not well dressed by any means having just walked around Kinghorn all day. Kids were welcome too. Well worth booking ahead as this place is very popular and its obvious why!

Evening meal for 3 couples. All very satisfied with the service (friendly and efficient) and the quality of the food. Nice atmosphere in this small dining space. Starters were enjoyed. Haggis bonbons, Cullen skink, melon platter. The daub of beef was tender and complemented well by a red wine sauce. The ladies enjoyed chicken with haggis stuffing and pepper sauce. The sticky toffee pudding was excellent and the trio of profiteroles so so tasty. A memorable evening as we had not dined it like this for 20 months!

Had a superb meal here, the soup was the nicest I've tasted in years, hubby said his steak pie was the best ever. I had the chicken and haggis with peppercorn sauce. What a beautiful interior and attentive service from the staff. We were on holiday in the area when we went for our meal, but would happily travel from our home in Falkirk just to have dinner here again, it was fab!

Great staff, superb atmosphere, excellent food and a beautiful place. Every effort that put in shows in the details and the small private booths in the beer garden were a great touch, providing heating, blankets and hot water bottles just made it that bit more special. Highly recommended

Popular and well decorated. Service was brisk and polite. Food was good. Our table of 13 ordered 3 dishes per head and only one soup had to go back for a another go in the microwave....i wished i made as few mistakes in my own job. House wines a little lack lustre, I'd stick to bar drinks. Nothing esoteric behind the bar for those drinks you get when you've had a few too many already....prob just as well. I picked up the bill and it was very reasonable for a big group. It caters to its target audience very well. Its a pub that majors on food. Its not a posh restraunt but is priced accordingly. Should continue to do well.
