The Lord Nelson, Burnham Thorpe - King's Lynn - Photo album

We had a wonderful meal here - welcome was warm, service was friendly and the food although on the higher end for pub food, was really delicious. We tried the buttermilk chicken burger and the pie - both excellent - and the lemon posset for dessert was wonderful. Dogs are made very welcome, ours cer
This is a very very nice local pub and diner. The food selection while smaller than some places is very well thought out, there's a great variety and the quality is great. While on the pricier side for a pub the food is definitely worth every penny. I would recommend going with friends and or family
Came across here after getting detoured by Google on our way to Holkham hall. We came in for lunch, so we had tomato soup and tomato arancini only. Both were excellent, well prepared and very tasty. Great selection of Woodfords beers. The decor is lovely, all related to Lord Nelson and extremely in
The staff were really great. They were short staffed that lunchtime but explained clearly they would be a bit slower and were we happy to take a bit longer. In the end it was only slightly longer and really not a problem. I am a great fan of honesty up front, under promise and over deliver! They cer
Great place. Haven't been for some years, but decided to pop in as Nelsons Shantymen were singing. The front half of the Pub is very traditional and very old. We like it. A huge and modern extension has been put on the back. Impressive and totally understandable from the business point of view how
The very best place I've eaten for a long while. Dog friendly plus great staff
Just returned from a Norfolk Restaurant Week lunch at the Lord Nelson. Cannot praise it enough - fantsatic value, menu was varied, the food was excellent and the portions good - Bao bun with Mongoian lamb and red snapper scampi for starters, we both went for the beef as the main, banana loaf and cho
Superb meal with excellent service from all who we engaged with. The pie was excellent and my wife really enjoyed the burger. The table we had, to the front of the pub was a little dark & gloomy, but that could have been how we selected our on- line booking. Highly recommended and a lovely setting.
Wonderful pub with fantastic food. We booked a couple of days in advance for a table of 13. I was amazed they managed to accommodate and was so glad they did. The food was terrific. I had the plaice with a side of samphire fritters which was delicious, but everything else looked lovely too. Service
The pub is welcoming and dog friendly. We popped in for an evening drink but would definitely return. Our dog was very spoilt with lots of treats. He rates it very highly:)
High standard pub at a very reasonable price and Brewery beer range. Polite staff.
Nice service. Staff made us very welcome. Lovely big beer garden in a nice location, but quite pricey and reckon they could do with some more staff. Took quite a while to get served. We would happily have had desert but it took a long while to order/get served, so am afraid we ran out of time. On pl
Have been waiting to go to this pub for a long time.Muddy dogs welcome. Good beer and wine. Will eat there next time.x
Lovely pub in a quite location. Service and staff friendly and helpful. Seafood Chowder and Cromer Crab was delicious. Good selection of beers lagers and ciders. Definitely going back
Lovely lunch, good variety of options on the menu and so dog friendly too! We really enjoyed being able to have plenty of space to eat and walk around with the dogs outside and all the staff were really friendly
Stopped by the pub on a walk from Burnham Market. Had a well kept pint of real ale in the old part of the pub. Interesting museum on site with an audible history of Nelson and a giant map of old Norfolk on the floor.
